Yonex reengineers it's ISOMETRIC head shape to create a more forgiving and spin friendly hitting experience

With the 2023 version of the VCORE 100L, Yonex puts the power and spin-friendly precision of the standard VCORE 100 into a lighter, more user-friendly package. At under 11 ounces strung and boasting a sub-315 swingweight, the 100L makes it easy for rising intermediate players to load the ball with pace and spin. For 2023 Yonex re-engineers the frame's geometry. In addition to redesigning the shaft and making the beam's face thinner, Yonex has widened the surface area of the racquet's upper hoop, resulting in a more stable, powerful, and spin-friendly hitting experience. Other new features include SIF Grommets, which deploy a silicone oil infusion to reduce the friction between the string and grommet. The upshot is greater string movement for increased snapback and easier access to spin. Yonex has also lowered the RA, giving this stick even better feedback than previous versions. As with the previous generation, this racquet has 2G-NAMD FlexForce Graphite in the upper shaft and lower hoop, enabling the racquet to deflect and snap back effectively through impact. Ultimately, with some impressive updates to the frame shape and feel, the VCORE 100L continues to be an obvious choice for intermediate players who want the whole package.

Good balance of power, spin and controlI am 4.0 club player and have been playing with a Wilson Steam Spin version which gave me tons of power and spin for 12 years. I've tried multiple racquets from Wilson and Babolat but nothing came close and my shots were always weaker. Then I recently developed tennis elbow and decided again to demo some racquets. This Yonex felt really crisp and with 52 pounds of tension it really helped me reduce my tennis elbow. I feel it has similar spin and power even though it's lighter and volleys also feel great.

Not as good as Ezone 100 or Vcore 100I am 70 and play recreational doubles. I bought the Vcore 100L with Polytour Pro in a 16L/1.25 gauge. I had tried the regular Vcore 100 and found it to be a solid racquet, but I wanted a lighter version, hence the Vcore 100L. My current racquet is the Ezone 100 with the same string. I was disappointed to find the Vcore 100L very dull with no life. I had to really hit hard to get the balls to bounce off, which is quite the opposite of my Ezone. I changed the strings to Babolat RPM Blast and Touch VS Natural Gut, which I had in my Babolat Pure Strike racquet to great success. It was a little better, but still not I was looking for. I am going to stick with my Ezone until I find something better.

Lightweight With Great FeelI assumed that given the lighter weight of the racquet that I’d have to really up my swing speed in order to generate good power. I quickly found that not to be true. Even with my normal swing speed I was still able to generate good pace on the ball. But what surprised me the most about this racquet was how much feel it has. I’ve always enjoyed using Yonex racquets, but this might be my favorite yet.
