Introducing the fastest and most intermediate-friendly member of the Percept family! Named the Percept 100, this racquet is slightly more forgiving than the 97 square inch models. It also features a thicker, stiffer beam for added stability and easier power. At 11.2 ounces strung and boasting a sub-320 swingweight, the Percept 100 comes around extremely fast, making it great for scrambling on defense, whipping up spin or reacting quickly at net. Love itI played in high school and college and used Yonex. I'm in my 40's now and I'm getting back into it. I've been using my friend's Wilson pro staff 97 and it felt so rigid and I'm not sure if my eyes are getting bad or what but the sweet spot was so small. I read a lot about the Yonex Percepts and almost went with an 97 however I'm just not dialed in like I used to be. This racquet is perfect for me! It's only 1.5 ounces difference in weight from the Wilson I was using but it's so balanced, it feels like I'm swinging a feather! It's got a great feel to it as well. Not so rough. It's just what I needed to get back into the game! I love it!

A good surpriseI was skeptical about Yonex after being disappointed with the 2022 Ezone 100 update, but the Percept completely changed my opinion. An excellent racquet: agile, with excellent control and spin, very stable, an excellent feel and very forgiving. It often feels like you're putting the ball in with your hand. What changed in my gameplay? More control and effect on the serve, deeper balls, easier to angle, easier to angle with my backhand, more control on my forehand, in short, more consistency. I was very happy with the acquisition and I recommend it to anyone looking for a racquet that offers the right amount of control and spin. The only downside is that it is not a power racquet.

Better than my Blade V8I was looking for a new racquet because I wanted to have a second racquet in my bag and wanted to try something new. I've been playing with a Wilson Blade V8 for about one year and recently I tried several new racquets (Head Speed and Gravity MP, TF ISO 295, Blade V9, Ezone 100) and for different reasons, the Percept 100 was by far the most comfortable, stable, and versatile racquet I tried (the Ezone was harsh on my elbow after playing with it one time). I've been playing with the Percept for a few months now and I am VERY happy.

Noticable update makes this a winnerI've played with the Vcore Pro 100 for over a year and I enjoy it. I assumed this was just a renaming and a new paint job but I was wrong. I played a demo alongside mine and felt a difference I liked. The hoop felt stiffer and it played a bit more powerful. The rest also still stands out in terms of spin and control as did the Vcore Pro 100. Love volleying with this one especially. Made the switch! Sadly I do like the old paint job better...
Yonex racquets are my new favoriteIn terms of comfort, the Percept 100 felt more comfortable than the Ezone 100, less stiff and more forgiving. However, vibration dampening technology is evident on both racquets.
The Percept 100 provided a lot of comfort, but this didn't compromise the amount of power generated - you get this feeling that even if you rip a forehand through the ball with the percept, you can be sure it'll land in the court. I had a hard time with controlling my shots with the Ezone 100. I was hitting a lot more forehands that were going long and it was hard not to overhit compared with the Percept 100. I'd say that it takes less power and strength to generate a powerful shot with the Ezone 100, but at the same time, I didn't really have too much control over my shots.
In terms of spin capability, both racquets provided decent spin, although I'd say I was able to generate more spin with the Percept 100. The Ezone 100 seemed to launch the ball upwards more with a flatter shot, whereas with the Percept 100 the ball was more top-spinny and flew closer to the net on forehands.
Really liked the feel of the Percept 100 - I know some people don't like the vibration dampening technology because it mutes the shot, but I loved the response when I hit a solid shot.
I demoed the Speed MP and the Wilson Blade, which I would say play similarly to the Yonex Percept 100. However, the main reason why I decided to go with Yonex is because of their quality control, and the fact that they design and manufacture their rackets in Japan. Other brands manufacture stock racquets in China, but not Yonex. This attention to detail and quality control is far superior than other brands.
VCP in NEW Paint, another Yonex WinnerFor those who have VCP, no major leaps. For those who use Yonex and want less power and more control - Percept will satisfy. For those on fence from BPureStrike, WBlade, HSpeed - worth a demo as it’ll play/feel similar if not consider for the QC should details matter to you. I do wish for more SW and plow some days but could argue attaining that would reduce maneuverability. Finally, can I get PTP in orange like the PTRev as it would go great with this racquet!
Percept BridgeThis latest iteration of the Pro series is as near a 1:1 as its predecessor with a couple of key improvements. The bump in stiffness from 64 to 66 RA coupled with a firmer graphite layup in the hoop shines through on the Percept! What was thought to be a bit underwhelming in terms of power seems to have been tipped more towards that end. Yet it still retains a lot of its velvety smooth, dampened, muted feel with a difference. The flex point feels closer to the mid throat vs toward the base on the ‘21 version. Though it’s still a muted feeling racket overall, the dwell time is enhanced just enough to give one a better sense of connection with the ball at contact. It’s an incremental change so for those that enjoyed the ‘21 VCP, this would be s near seamless transition, with an appreciable bump in stability around the hoop and a more direct response off the stringbed.
A great all around frame for those who still enjoy a more traditional forgiving feeling frame with some new school tech and enhanced all around playability.
