This racquet's easy acceleration and user-friendly targeting make it perfect for mastering stroke fundamentals

Introducing the RF 01 Future, the lightest member of the RF Collection. Stamped with insights from Federer's legendary career, the RF 01 Future puts the geometry and technologies of Federer's RF 01 Pro into a very maneuverable package, making it easy for dedicated beginners and early intermediate players to swing confidently. This racquet should also appeal to the junior player ready to transition to an adult-sized frame. In addition to its quick handling and arm-friendly stiffness rating, the Future packs a 98-square-inch head, providing the kind of accuracy that breeds confidence when the set score tightens. This racquet's design is appropriately named SABR, a moniker epitomizing Federer's attacking style. Under the hood, it includes a powerful carbon fiber layup with Braid FORTYFIVE technology to enhance both dwell time and pocketing while helping the racquet bend in ways that complement the vertical mechanics of the modern game. It also features foam throughout the racquet to deliver a more solid feel, along with a reinforced shaft and yoke for more torsional stability through impact (think less racquet flopping on volleys). Ultimately, the RF 01 Future gives the next generation of players a great tool for mastering stroke mechanics and rising to the next level.

Impressive RaquetIve been playing tennis since the 80’s and my racquet then was the Wilson aluminum with wires. Then my racquet journey had been through a lot being a racquet nerd - Babolats, Prince, Head, Yonex and my last racquet prior to this was the Wilson Shift 99 Lite (had the Clash, Ultra, Blade, Pro Staff). This is the best of them all! I'm 5’5” and very lightweight so I tend to use the light version as I find it needed in my USTA matches that can go for three-setters. In this weight class this racquet can hold up on its own against 3.5-4.0 players. It has a very nice feel and firmness (less stiffer than the Shift). I'm an all court player and play a one-handed backhand and this suits my game perfectly. It has power when needed and volleys are crisp. It is solid but pockets the ball well. Wilson must have used all they got from all their new releases and have this racquet just perfect to have Roger's initials all over. I strung it with Kirschbaum Proline Evolution in a full bed but found it better when I hybrid it with Prince Lightning Pro in the crosses. If you can wield the RF01 300 grams for three competitive sets without getting tired then get that one but this future can be customized to your own specs as you please. I highly recommend you give this racquet a try!

Excellent mix between old school and modernThis is a tremendous racquet. Great for using it as is or customization. Excellent stability. String sensitive. I would recommend a hybrid of your liking. I played professionally on the Satellite/Challenger circuits in the 90’s and grew up as a junior in the 80’s playing in both Europe and the USA. Tried many racquets over the years. I can’t get away from old school feel but with the speed of today’s ball and the amount of spin the strings put on a ball these days, I need something that is able to cope with the modern insane power. This racquet may be the very best of both worlds. It can handle extreme pace and delivers it right back. I train high level players six days a week and I do battle with them every training session. This racquet holds up. Even in the lighter form. Zero problems with instability. I recommend lower tension with softer polys and poly/multifilament hybrids. Extremely professional and classy looking racquet as well.
