Raw speed meets spin-friendly targeting and great feel

With this update to the Blade 100L, Wilson enhances stability while keeping the outstanding all-around playability of the previous generation. At under 11 ounces strung, the Blade 100L v9 comes around fast, making it easier for rising intermediate players to address the ball with confidence or react quickly when the pressure is on. As with other members of the Blade family the 100L offers the kind of precision that inspires confidence on full swings. Like its predecessor, this update incorporates Direct Connect Technology, fusing the butt cap directly to the carbon fiber handle for increased stability. It also retains Wilson's FortyFive layup technology, which increases lateral flexibility to complement the explosive vertical mechanics of the modern game (think easy spin). New for 2024 is StableFeel technology, which introduces a slightly firmer layup for greater stability and easier access to power. Experienced ball strikers will appreciate the new Clip & Go grommet system, which not only locks down the bumper but also makes for easier grommet replacement. Ultimately, with incremental tweaks to the feel and response the Blade 100L offers a user-friendly entry point into the iconic control and feel of the Blade franchise.

Wilson Blade 100L v9 RacquetMy husband purchased this racquet for me with the anticipation that it would outperform my current 3.2 abilities and would be the racquet I could grow and improve with. So far, it has met my expectations. It handles and plays very well for all the shots and I have no doubt that as I increase in skill level that it will continue to be my racquet of choice.

Great control stickI am a 3.5-4.0 player and tried a variety of racquets including the speed and Radical MP, Solinco Whiteout (the lighter version), Pro Staff light, and others but somehow I come back to this stick. If you feel that a 300+ gram racquet is a bit heavy, this is a great middle ground. At first this racquet felt quite disconnected from the ball, like electronic steering, but once I got used to it it has great feel, very forgiving, and also great comfort. As a control racquet, the ball goes where you want it to go and is predictable. I have it strung with Luxilon Element Soft and Hyper-G Soft at 49~52 pounds. I would go for a bit of a power-oriented string setup to compliment the controlled nature of the racquet.

Wilson 100LI got two of these racquets. I liked the RA of 69, I worked with the customization dept, on increasing the static weight and swingweight. They were outstanding and very professional. When I received the racquets they were spot on. I would highly recommend the customization department. They are the best.

Great feel, not durableThis racquet plays superbly and has one of the best feels that I’ve experienced. However, I’m historically a Babolat player and have used the Pure Aero for a while. The grip is a slightly different shape and feel from Babolat to Wilson and it’s taking some getting used to. The racquet slipped from my hand on one occasion and the frame cracked at impact with the ground???

Perfect forI bought this for my wife. She loves it. She's able to hit with more precision and control. This racquet is great for a petite five foot tennis player.
