Overview
The V-Cell 8 315g replaces the V-Feel 8 model. Like its predecessor, this racquet was designed to give intermediate and advanced players a powerfully precise and spin-friendly weapon. At 11.6 ounces strung, it is a tad heavier and more stable than the V-Feel 8 300g, but it packs a sub 320-RDC swingweight, giving it explosive acceleration and impressive speed in the front court. For this update, Volk adds extra V-Cell material (a cellulose based carbon) to the shaft and head for a more comfortable, stable and responsive hitting experience. Like the previous generation, this racquet's butt cap and innovative REVA based handle system have been meticulously designed to deliver a smoother, more arm-friendly feel at impact. On groundstrokes, this stick swings faster than its competitors, making it great for the experienced player who craves raw speed over stability. The open 16x18 string pattern not only translates into spin-loaded missiles that drop hard, it also delivers a higher trajectory for easier access to depth. The speedy feel also makes it easy to chase down balls on defense or crank winners on the run. At net this stick offers a crisp and precise response along with very quick handling, making it great on reaction volleys. It also whips very powerfully through contact on serve to deliver easy targeting. With incremental tweaks to the feel, this update is continues to be a great option for aggressive players looking to load the ball with pace and spin.

Spin and PowerNice racquet. This V-Cell line must be one that is stiff but not harsh. You can hit any shot well. I liked the feel. Different but not too muted or dampened for me. All these new racquets are muted, so we're adapting. Highly recommend this. Spin and power. Enough plow for me too.
excellent racquet for an intermediate playerI purchased this Volkl racquet after demoing a newer model of the same racquet. It has crisp groundstrokes and is also excellent on volleys and backhand slice. Very happy with my purchase.

Nice AlternativeAs someone who likes heavier racquets, I found this V-Cell 8 315g a decent alternative to to other weightier rackets out there -- including the V-Cell 320. Feel was firm yet comfortable, but I found the string bed a little inconsistent before I added weight at 3 and 9 and even a bit at the tip. Racket offers above average spin (strung mine with Cyclone Tour) and good (not flyaway) power. It's a very good doubles racquet as it allows you to be a bit handsy while still confident to go for bigger shots. Volleys were good, not great. Volkl's don't get a lot of attention likely due to their virtual non-existent presence among tour pros or perhaps their reputation as a stick for people with arm problems. But they offer a wide variety of options and styles for most every player and make a quality product (some of the best dubs players I know use Volkl).

Comments: I bought it from TW used section. Wanted to try something new (switching from Dunlop Force 98). Its a good stick. Solid power and spin.
