Volkl adds a softer layup and more control-oriented beam for 2024

Introducing the Vostra V9 305! With this racquet, Volkl updates the V-Cell 9 with a new mold and spec profile. At 11.4 ounces strung, this update is weighted for intermediate and advanced players. It also packs a speedy sub-320 swingweight, making it easy to scramble on defense, whip up heavy spin or react quickly at net. For this update, in addition to adding a thinner, more flexible beam, Volkl overhauls the layup with an advanced material technology called Red Cell, which combines V-Cell carbon fiber with a flexible REVA resin, resulting in a more elastic construction for enhanced stability, pocketing and feel. This racquet also benefits from Super Grommets, which deploys a figure eight shape to optimize string movement for greater energy transfer and snapback (think spin). To help with comfort, this racquet's VTEX butt cap and REVA handle system have been meticulously engineered with dampening compounds to deliver a smoother, more arm-friendly feel at impact. This model also features the return of Volkl's V-Engine technology, which deploys an inverted yolk to extend the length of the center mains for greater power and comfort. Ultimately, this is an impressive update by Volkl. Experienced players looking for a speedy and precise weapon will love this one.

Good playing racquet, maneuverableI read TW reviews, and I agree exactly with what Chris says: “My main like is that I play well with this racquet! With a good blend of control, power and spin, I am able to execute all of my shots well.” I own one and it's light enough for a long court practice, and heavy enough to be stable and in the advanced players category, arm friendly with Volkl technology, with the right strings and tension you can enhance the feel and crisp shot making. Cheers

Seems underestimated, but a great option!Volkl no.9 series is Volkl's exciting racquet-testing arena as each generation has different characteristics. VOSTRA V9 provides another great option for intermediate players like NTRP 3.0 - 3.5, as myself, returning back with the iconic V-Engine. I am a Japanese weekend player, NTRP 3.0 (or less) with 12 years experience. My favorite racquet is the C10 pro, inspired by Chris Edwards. I have fallen in love with the silky smooth touch of C10 pro for 12 years. VOSTRA V9 305 with V-Engine is one of the modernized racquet providing the truly Volkl feeling with well-blended power, control, and comfortable touch. My favorite shot with VOSTRA V9 305 is backhand slice. You can hit a heavy slice ball onto the opposite side. On groundstrokes, the launch angle seems not high, so if you love a spin-friendly weapon, you need to adjust. Even though TW doesn't provide any reviews about this racquet, I have written this report to make VOSTRA V9 305 be interested in. As TW may say, it seems good trying VOSTRA V9 305, as well as Babolat - Pure Strike 100 2024, Head - Speed MP 2024, with several string setups. My setting is Technifibre - XR3 with 54 lbs on vertical string & 51 lbs on horizontal. I want to try more natural-like string like Technifibre - TGV. I have never cut any strings during playing due to my spin-less old-school tennis style. My heros are Stefan Edberg, Roger Federer, and Granville Swope. I hope this poor review helps someone. Thanks TW.
