Volkl adds another chapter to the V-Cell V1 OS! Like previous generations of the V1 OS, this racquet combines a forgiving 110 square inch head with impressive maneuverability. Firmer Than I ExpectedI thought I'd try this frame with some added weight on the hoop to see if it has potential as a player's oversize. It does, with better control than I expected and manageable power. Serves were not difficult to control as there's plenty of spin potential. The problem for me was a very firm and not especially comfortable feel. All that cellulose and whatever it is they put in the handle didn't soften the experience here very much. A better racquet, if you take big swings at the ball but want extra string area, is the V Cell 7, which I enjoyed quite a bit and found more comfortable than this frame despite a stiffer rating.
