Experienced players looking for controllable power and great feel should add this to their list

Offering an impressive combination of control and feel, Solinco’s Whiteout 305 will definitely turn some heads. With its traditional 21.7mm straight beam and 98 square inch head this stick delivers the raw precision and excellent ball feedback that experienced ball strikers crave. It also comes with a near 330 swingweight, lending it enough mass to effectively redirect pace but also keeping it fast enough for quick exchanges at net. Technologies include 40T Carbon Fiber at 3/9 o'clock, resulting in a larger sweetspot and greater torsional stability. The feel is further enhanced by Liquid Crystal Technology which is added to the layup to reduce hash vibrations and lighten the load on your tendons. The Whiteout 305 also benefits from Foam Technology in the head, giving it a wonderfully solid feel through impact. Ultimately, the Whiteout 305 should help put Solinco on the radar of experienced players. The fact that it checks every box in its category while also being priced below the competition makes it hard to resist.

This racquet's weight and balance can be modified using Solinco's weight control modules (interchangeable butt-cap plates that enable you to add 5 or 10 grams to the stock weight)  - sold separately

Solinco Whiteout 305I switched from a Babolat Pure Strike 100 and was worried about going to a 98. The sweet spot is just as big if not bigger and I can serve better and with a bit more power. I don't go to the net a lot but when I do the Solinco feels much more solid.

Helped my gameFelt immediate confidence with this racquet. I tend to hit with a combo of topspin and flat strokes, with some cut underspin here and there, and nothing I've hit with has been as capable at each of those. Not the most powerful frame, but has some in with its balance of other attributes. I'm an older 4.5 coming down from 5.0

Love this racquetI had always been deciding between the Blade and the Pure Strike, and the Whiteout is right in the middle, with the best of both worlds. Great control, almost as good as the Blade’s, but with more access to power and spin without being too hard on the arm. Best 98 out there IMHO.

Power and FeelJust played with the Solinco 305 Whiteout and was really impressed with the overall playability of the racquet from the serve through ground strokes and volleys. My current racquets are Babolat Pure Strike and I definitely see the 305 Whiteout as a serious upgrade!!

Great Player's RacquetAdded a leather grip and the 10g butt cap and this racquet is exactly where it needs to be for a great player's racquet. Great mix of control, power, and spin and good maneuverability.

super good raquetManeuverable, stable and solid. Easy to whip, but also accommodates players that do not have a fast swing. Easier to maneuver than Blade and Prince Tour 98 (not as good on slices as those two), better feel than Head Boom, more stable than Dunlop CX200 (better in all aspects for me than these). Easy to improve your serve - both in power and placement, good for volleying.

Pro Staff plus power?I second the review by "Darin E." This racquet has a crisp response, a ball-strike sensation that sounds and feels like "clink," definitely not a soft "thud." With a full bed of poly (I was using Hyper-G 17), the ball did not pocket long. It felt virtually identical to another racquet I own, the Wilson Pro Staff 97 v13, which has a similar size and stiffness rating. I compared the stringbeds, and they are so nearly identical that it makes me think Solinco copied Wilson's design. This includes being very open tip-to-tail (lengthwise, not width-wise), even for a 16x19. This racquet generates tons of spin with a modern stroke, and hits a very predictable ball; the stringbed is never wild; the frame is precise; again, just like a Pro Staff. It is only slightly larger than the Pro Staff 97 (98 sq in versus 97) but feels significantly more forgiving and significantly more powerful, if perhaps not quite as controlled. It is not a true power racquet, but it is moderately powerful. I played this side-by-side with the Babolat Pure Strike 98 and Dunlop FX500 Tour, and thought it was as powerful as those but more controlled. If you want some power but not a rocket launcher, and you like to control the ball through directional precision and spin rather than frame flex and frame-provided ball pocketing, this is worth a demo. I don't plan to buy this because my Pro Staffs already do the same thing, but if I didn't have them, I probably would get this. I have not tried a gut mains/poly crosses hybrid in this Whiteout but that combo works so well in the Pro Staff that I suggest you try it here. The full bed of Hyper-G that I have tried was also excellent in this racquet, and I did not find the racquet to be too stiff on my arm. Impressive first racquet, Solinco.

Excellent FrameOne of the best racquets out there in the 98/305 segment. A little more pop than most players racquets with a slightly higher launch angle. I'm an older player moving down to a 4.0 in my mid-fifties and I was looking for a little more power than my Wilson Pro Staffs 97 provided. Play-tested a bunch of racquets that straddled the line between players racquets and power/spin frames. I actually couldn't decide between the Solinco 305 White and the Head Boom Pro, so I bought one of each. Both are frames that have a lot of the characteristics I was looking for and I go back and forth. The Solinco has the better feel and I prefer it for doubles as it is more maneuverable. The Head Boom Pro has more plow-through and spin and I can get a few more mph on my serve. I've been playing more and more with the Solinco lately and feel like it will soon be as popular as Solinco strings. It's a fantastic frame. Plays best with a full bed of poly. I like it with Volkl Cyclone 17g.

Great baselinerI've played with the original Pure Strikes since they came out but haven't been a big fan of the newer versions. I absolutely love this racquet though. It has great control and feel, I'm able to place the ball anywhere I want it with exceptional spin from the baseline.

Great players racquet! It's clear Solinco has really done their homework with this racquet. The balance of the frame in terms of weight and also with power vs. control really sells this racquet!

Previous Feedback

Comments: I am a believer! Great stick. Been playing with the Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 for years, and needed a fresh update. Demoed this racquet because it has almost identical specs. The demo came with Solinco Hyper-G strings. Power, control, comfort, feel, touch, big sweet spot, maneuverable, classy paint job, great materials and no mods needed. Solinco hit this one out of the park! Will be buying 2 of these.

Comments: I love this stick. Have been a Wilson Blade user for years, but I am sold on the Whiteout. More spin potential and great pop, but with feel around the net. Lots of whip on the serve too. I used Solinco Rev 16g @49lbs.

Comments: This racquet is just awesome! Tons of control and feel paired with the right amount of power to be dangerous, and just better than any other high level players racquet out there. The design is simple, but elegant and the adjustable weight at the end of the grip makes it very easy to customize it to your specific needs. An all around great racquet!
