With this update, Prince combines modern speed and spin with classic control and feel

Introducing the third generation of the Phantom 100P! Like the previous generation, this racquet combines spin-friendly targeting with outstanding feel at impact. Thanks to a sub-325 RDC swingweight, the Phantom 100P swings a bit easier than its predecessor, which not only makes it easier to accelerate through contact on groundies and serves but also translates into quicker reactions at net. Boasting a thin box beam and flexible 59RA, the 100P is decidedly more arm-friendly than the majority of racquets in its class. Technologies include Prince's Anti-Torque System, which is located at 10 & 2 in the head and combines Textreme with Zylon, a synthetic polymer added in 2024 to further enhance stability without compromising maneuverability. Prince also combines Zylon and Textreme in the shaft to further enhance stability and optimize feel. Other features include a CTS beam construction, which features an ultra thin shaft for feel along with thicker cross sections in the head for stability and power. With incremental tweaks to the feel, the 100P keeps getting better. Intermediate and advanced players looking for a great feeling racquet with exceptional precision should add this to their demo list.

Players racquetThis is a truly awesome frame for ensuring your shots land where you want them to. I was worried about stability but didn't find issues. I added lead tape at 3 and 9 but also believe Prince have added a lot more power vs previous versions.

Grip change-BEWAREYou can read my glowing review of this racquet elsewhere but fair warning: I love me a leather grip so I figured I’d enhance the already great racquet with the leather grip and make it beyond this world. I was wrong. Leather grip change the dynamics of the racquet, which we all knew it would, but it now does not have the same balance and magic that it used to. So I’m trying to find the original type of grip, and replace the leather. Sometimes it’s best not tinker with a good thing.

A Welcome Addition by PrinceA welcome addition by Prince. I haven't hit with a Phantom since the 93P, and I also thought that racquet was low powered. I never spent enough time with the 93P to mod it or give it a chance to grow on me. I think the 100P is more user friendly out of the box though. If the 2024 Dunlop CX200 or Wilson Ultra Pro intrigues you, give the Phantom 100P a try. It's far more playable in stock form with a nice feel to it. My favorite Prince frame since the 2015 Textreme Tour. Thank you TW for the opportunity to play and review this frame!

100% GreatAs my order history with TW will attest, I love trying and buying racquets. I’ve been playing off and on for 50 years starting with my first racquet, the beautiful wood Dunlop Maxply. The latest Prince I loved is the Phantom 93P. The thin beam made it fly through the air. The solid feel took command of offensive and defensive play. The precision of the small head size amazed my teammates with every shot. Sadly after a while the 12+ ounces was too much for sustained use. Along comes this new 100P. I played with it for the first time today. It does everything my 93P does and more. To me it whipped up my serves better than the Babolat Pure Drive. Overheads were more commanding and precise and authoritative than my Wilson Blade 98. I could whack back my opponents' moon balls, lobs and topspin shots with pure confidence, power and spin; dare I say comparable to my Babolat Pure Aero 98. My backhand and forehand slices were sharper than ever. The racquet felt at home as soon as I picked it up. Every thing the overview says is true. It felt light but solid. The control of the 100” headsize played like a 95-98” racquet. I also love the Prince Grip. I took TW’s advice and strung it with Kirschbaum Orange at 53 pounds. It’s an amazing racquet that plays like a Pro Staff RF but is as arm friendly as a Clash 100 v2. Don’t demo… just buy one!

But the paint job? :-(I have not found any alternative to the 100P and I love the previous model. I have been waiting and longing for this update but the paint job on it is unfortunately really, really not my thing :-(
