Overview

ProKennex adds another chapter to the Ki Q+5X Pro (305g). Updated with a new cosmetic and a slightly lighter weight for 2021, this racquet, with its extended length, provides dangerous levels of power and spin to aggressive baseliners. The Ki Q+5X Pro features the most evolved version of Kinetic Quadfocus Technology which deploys movable mass in key locations of the racquet's head to give you greater protection against vibration, shock and racquet torque. With its Comfort Cap technology, ProKennex extends its Kinetic system to the butt cap, resulting in even greater arm-protection against harsh impact vibrations. This Q+5X Pro also features a firm SpiralTech Carbon layup, which removes impurities and air pockets from the graphite layers in order to provide extra strength and dampening.

On groundstrokes this racquet plows-through the ball with impressive ease, making it easier to handle the pace of a big hitting opponent.
Players who can leverage this racquet's mass with be rewarded with genuine knock-out power, and there is more than enough spin-potential to bring the ball down hard. At net and on service returns, the Q+5X Pro does a great job redirecting heavy pace, and it has enough pop to put your opponent in check. It also shines on serve where the extended length translates into a noticeable bump in power. Ultimately, with this update to the Q+5X Pro, ProKennex continues to offer advanced players the perfect weapon for playing aggressive tennis.

Solid with large sweet spot and arm friendly.I recently came back to tennis after 20 years away from the sport and chose this racquet because I wanted an extended frame and the arm-friendly tech that ProKennex is known for. I am extremely pleased with this racquet and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for an extended frame and higher swing weight racquet - especially someone with elbow or arm issues. The finish and quality seem very high and I appreciate that ProKennex includes a carry bag along with the racquet.

Underrated frame, needs more love4.5 stars instead of 5 only because not everyone can handle it. I think most people stay away from ProKennex because they think it's for old people with arm problems. And, yes the tech does help with arm problems, but I got this racquet because I liked the specs. It was the spec I was looking for and it does what you would expect. Solid, stable, great spin potential, good plow through, thin beam to cut through the air on the serve, and the leverage on my overheads is the best among my racquets. I play mostly doubles and the only issue is maneuverability at the net due to the extra length and swing weight. Now I actually have the previous model which is five grams heavier and a higher swing weight, so this one may have resolved that issue some. I play 5.0 doubles and this is my serving racquet. I do return well with it but I usually use a spin-friendly , standard length racquet just to be more aggressive on the return against bigger servers. In tiebreakers, I will stay with this one, and when playing singles I like this racquet and I serve and volley mostly. I recommend a grip size smaller to be able to whip the extra length rackets a little better. If you are looking at extra length player frames, give this one a try. I add some weight at 12 o'clock to get a little more pop and stability. It's a pretty fun stick.
