With its extended length and forgiving head size, this ultra arm-friendly racquet will supercharge your groundstrokes and serves

ProKennex updates the Ki 15 (300g) with a new cosmetic but keeps the impressive playability of the previous generation. As the heaviest Ki 15 model, this racquet is not only appropriate for intermediate players, it should also work for the more advanced doubles player who wants a powerful serving racquet with impressive stability on volleys. Like the previous generation, this update has an extended 27.5" length, giving it extra pop on serves and groundies. Comfort is impressive thanks to the Kinetic Technology, which deploys dynamic mass in the head to reduce the amount of shock that reaches your arm. Other arm-saving technologies include a Comfort Cap, which adds Kinetic technology to the butt cap to attenuate residual vibrations. Ultimately, the Ki 15 (300g) remains an obvious choice for those who crave comfort and power.

Easy power and comfortI have been using the Pro Kennex Black Ace 105 but decided to try the Ki 15 for the purposes of comparison. The Ki 15 has a bit more power, due to the increased stiffness and a little extra length. One thing I noticed is you can't really hear the kinetic technology as much in this frame vs. the Black Ace, which I prefer. The sweet spot seems bigger in this racket as well and it feels a little more crisp when you make contact by the throat. I prefer the cosmetic of the Black Ace but the Ki 15 isn't bad. I'm going to say the BA 105 is a little more comfortable but again the Ki 15 is good.

Great for topspin serves slice and drop shotsGreat for topspin serves, slice shots and drop shots. Definitely give this racquet a try if you hit a lot of those shots.

A little too much powerPlenty of comfort for a stiffness rating this high, but the power is a little too easy to access, and I had some trouble keeping not only groundstrokes in the court but also serves in the box. I tried this because I played with the Ki 15 PSE some years ago but both groundstrokes and serves were easier to control with slightly shorter but heavier PSE. I'm not sure what sort of player would benefit from this much power over the top.

Wow! No more elbow painI have played with a Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus and Tour model since 2008 in juniors and in college. Getting older and playing adult tennis at the 5.0 level and my elbow just couldn't handle it anymore. Found this and wow! I added lead tape to get it a little heavier to match specs to my Babolats and this is a dream!! If you have been with Babolat for a while and can't find anything you like...please try this one!
