Head adds another chapter to one of the game's most iconic racquets

For 2023, Head makes incremental tweaks to the Prestige Pro while keeping the magical ingredients that have made it one of the game's most cherished player's racquets.  Like previous generations, this update is defined by its surgical control and outstanding feel. The control comes in part from the traditional 18x20 string pattern and thin 20mm box beam, giving it laser-like precision on full cuts along with the kind of ball feedback that has attracted generations of players. For this update, Head has created a slightly more flexible construction, resulting in an even more buttery and controlled feel. That said, this update has greater speed than the Prestiges of yesteryear, making it easier to reset the point with an outstretched flick or react quickly in the front court. The main technology is Auxetic 2  a uniquely flexible material in the yoke and handle to optimize feel. The Prestige Pro also benefits from Graphene 360+ (labeled Graphene Inside), which strengthens the frame in key locations to provide a more powerful and stable hitting experience. Ultimately, with its predictable targeting and plush feel, this update checks all the right boxes. Experienced players looking for undeniable benefits of traditional player's racquet should start here.

Absolute gemAmazing frame for those who crave control, feel and solid plow-through. It's obviously not for everyone, and it doesn't artificially accentuate any strength (or weakness), but it does allow to play more intentionally every ball and to focus on what you can reliably do on your own. The string pattern is relatively open for an 18x20 allowing for spin that is compatible with the modern game for those who can swing it, the handle is no more as rectangular as Prestiges used to be (more like Yonex now), and the ball pocketing sensation it provides is the best I have ever experienced (even better than the late Pro Staff 90s). Last but not least, the frame is stunningly good looking. Well done Head.

Great Racquet for My Game!Overall, I love this racquet! It provides both the maneuverability (7 pts HL & 324 SW) as well as the stability (11.9 oz.) that I look for in a racquet to deal with high pace on groundstrokes and volleys. It is a little "whippy", which I prefer as I have an offensive, all-court game. Given my game, the 18x20 string pattern and 98 square inch head provide me the precision that I need to place the ball anywhere I want and confidently be aggressive and take full cuts on returns. Aside from all of this, I do have to say that I LOVE the paint job! It's absolutely aesthetically pleasing as I love the maroon color. The feel/touch are excellent as well as I enjoy moving forward, serving & volleying and this racquet is excellent with half volleys & volleys. All in all, I definitely recommend this for an experienced player who can generate their own power, enjoy moving forward and are looking for absolute precision and control. I definitely see why Tennis Warehouse declares this racquet not only one of the best control racquets (https://www.tennis-warehouse.com/learning_center/gear_guides/tennis_racquets/best_control_racquets.html) but also one of the best racquets of 2024 for control & feel as well (https://www.tennis-warehouse.com/learning_center/gear_guides/tennis_racquets/best_tennis_racquets.html)! I'm confident that this racquet is a keeper for me and I'll be excited for when the next model comes out!

Prestige Pro Aux v1.0 and v2.0 excellentBought v2.0 (2023) recently as a back up to v1.0 (2021). Strung (50 pounds) with Head Hawk Power 17. The v2.0 instantly supplanted V1.0 as my primary racquet, as it is smoother on off center shots and has more feeling when dialed in on the center of the racquet face. Although static weight of Prestige Pros are higher compared to RF01 (non Pro) and RF01 Future, the PP swingweight seems less and PP swings faster. Really loving this racquet.

Solid prestigeThis version still offers great feel and comfort as previous ones. It is a bit more demanding for me in terms of strings in order to generate spin, especially from the backhand side.

Solid UpdateI grew up playing with the Prestige MP's of the early 2000's. This iteration felt like a step back in that direction - noticeably lighter swingweight and much more flexible than the previous iteration which I thought felt more “modernized.” Hard to say which is better, they both have their advantages. I lose a little pace on my spinny groundstrokes, but find it much easier to hit flatter shots. Love how maneuverable this version is at the net, and it is easy to keep returns in the court.

A great racquetThis racquet offers a great type of feel that does not give you any more power than what you put into your shot. I would recommend this to intermediate and high level players who is in search for control & feel.
