Head adds a more forgiving and powerful head size to the Speed family for 2024!

Head makes big changes to the Speed Team for 2024! Updated with a generous 105 square inch head, this 10-ounce racquet is ideal for rising intermediate players who want to sharpen their skills with the help of a larger and more forgiving head size. It should also work well for the dedicated beginner who wants a racquet that will reward continued improvement. In addition to its plush comfort, this racquet boasts a low swingweight, which translates to easy acceleration from the baseline and quick handling at net. It also has an open 16x19 string pattern (and large "spin window"), making it easy to control the ball's depth and trajectory with spin. Additional features include a very arm-friendly 61-RA stiffness coupled with a slightly extended length for added momentum on groundies and serves. Technologies include Auxetic 2, a uniquely flexible material in the yolk and handle to optimize the feel and response. The Speed Team also benefits from Graphene 360+ (labeled Graphene Inside), which strengthens the frame in key locations to provide a more powerful and stable hitting experience. Ultimately, this update to the Speed Team checks all the right boxes. Improving players looking for a speedy and comfortable racquet with an easy learning curve should love this one.

Wife loves it!Picked up this racquet for my wife. My wife is a beginner and started out with the '24 Boom Team L. After a few lessons the Boom Team L was too launchy and hard to control. We upped the tension to 53 pounds and went to a slightly stiffer string (Velocity MLT to Prince Syn Gut Duraflex) but still couldn't calm the Boom down. Considered the Extreme Team and Speed Team racquets. Head has a power ranking on their racquets and the Extreme Team is rated 900 (same as Boom Team L) and the Speed Team is rated at 800. Tennis Warehouse rates the Extreme Team as Low-Medium power and the Speed as Medium Power. We used the Head rating and chose the Speed Team. Wife is now able to take a full swing without sending the ball over the fence. We had the Speed strung with Head Synthetic Gut at 50 pounds so we could compare that to the Prince Synthetic Gut strings at 53 pounds in her old racquet. Wife likes the feel much better and adapted to the Speed's head shape immediately. The Speed racquet is 3 points head light and weighs about 10 grams heavier. My wife was able to swing through the ball better but I think that is largely due to fact that she isn't as afraid of launching the ball over the fence. The Speed's head is 2 square inches smaller then the Boom and is a long oval compared to an upside down egg shape of the Boom. I expected a longer transition time with the new Speed, but my wife took to it right away. Funny thing is her backhand (she is a beginner and struggles with that shot) was much better/natural for her with this racquet as compared to the Boom. Again not sure why but she's happy with it and that's all that matters.

Head SpeedAfter demoing 21 racquets I was at a loss to decide on the best racquet for my game. My present Head racquet was discontinued so I tried every brand available. Then I decided if the Head Speed racquet was preferred by Djokovic... so I purchased the Head Speed without demonstrating it, and I have been extremely happy with the racquet. Best racquet I have played with in 40+ years!

Light racquetSaw reviews on YouTube reviews, gave it a try, had put some weight at 3-9 to bring it up to 11.3oz... was a little too light. I also put a leather grip to get more weight. Now it’s playing awesome. Aloha, Censei
