Overview
Pre-strung with a synthetic gut for added value!
Head updates the Radical S with Graphene XT, giving this light and explosive stick a more optimal distribution of weight. The result is a racquet that provides even easier access to power. With its 102 square-inch head, the Radical S boasts a larger sweetspot than the standard Midplus Radical, ensuring that performance doesn't significantly drop off when contact is less than perfect. Control is excellent thanks to the Dynamic String Pattern which features tighter string spacing in the contact zone for more directional control. From the baseline this version of the Radical S feels lighter and faster than its predecessor, making it perfect for strong beginners and developing intermediates who want easier access to pace and spin. Our playtesters were particularly impressed with the accuracy on full swings - a benefit that translates into confidence when trying to finish points. At net this racquet's light weight makes it very easy to maneuver when the pressure is on. Our team found it very effective on fast exchanges and reaction volleys. The maneuverability also comes in handy on service returns where this stick comes around with impressive speed to deliver a very accurate and easily controlled ball. Head has made an impressive update to one of their lightest Radicals. This is a great option for the player who wants the control of a great player's racquet without the weight.

Previous Feedback
Comments: I am getting old and my previous racquets started giving me trouble in arm, wrist, and hand, plus making me swing slower and respond late. I need some racquets with low flex and lighter, so I tried Wilson Clash 100L (flex 55, 9 pts HL) first. It's extremely arm/wrist/hand friendly and fast. However, I simply could not have any precision (and therefore, confidence) with the Clash. When I saw XT Radical S (flex 60, 4 pts HL) I bought one at a local tennis store. After adding half an ounce in the handle (now 9 pts HL), it becomes the most ideal racquet to me with fast swing, precision, great maneuverability, and very arm/wrist/hand friendly. So I ordered another one from Tennis Warehouse.

Comments: Bought a set of 2 racquets 2 years ago and loved them. My game is getting better and this racquets works well for my groundstrokes and volleys the same.

Comments: I own both the Head Graphene Radical S and XT. If properly balanced/customized they top most racquets on market (Babolat, Wilson, Yonex -- the 98 and100 square inch ones). Good, arm friendly racquets. I use Bi-phase One 16 G at 52 and 53 lbs. I am a solid 4.5 tennis player. Good job Head!

Comments: Radical S 2015 and XT S 2016 are good (and look good) light racquets. If they are properly customized for balance, they top everything in the market. I am a 5.0 player. I string both Head Graphene Radical S and XT with X-one Biphase 16 G at 52 lbs. Great job Head!

Comments: Simply put, this racquet has done wonders for my game. I'm a high school varsity tennis player, number 3 on the ladder of my team. I've been playing for about 6 years and like to think I'm pretty good. Prior to this racquet, I had been playing with a 110 square inch Wilson, and then a 105 Babolat. As my game has improved, I've slowly decreased head size to get more control as I developed my own power. For my level of play, this works perfectly. My groundstrokes are powerful and hard to return, but I still have a lot of fine control over placement. I barely have to think about whether I want to hit an angled cross court shot or down the line, and the racket responds. I have a really flat forehand and put basically no spin on the ball. I've been working with my coach on more a spin/slice shot, and the light weight of this racket really makes a difference. It's also great for volleys; I have a lot of control during net play but it still packs a punch. My serves are as good as they've ever been.I usually play about three times a week and just got my racket restrung (53 lbs, synthetic gut) and it plays beautifully. I think this is a really good racquet for an intermediate player who likes to move around the court. The Head Graphene XT Radical S is great at the baseline and at the net and provides a great balance of power and control.
