Overview

This racquet comes pre-strung for added convenience and value!

Head reintroduces the Graphene XT Radical MP. With its 98in² head, 63RA stiffness and dense center main strings, Radical MP packs impressive control while also delivering enough pop to close out points. This racquet features Graphene XT giving it a polarized weight distribution for easier access to power. At 11 ounces strung this stick is ideal for intermediate and advanced players who want a very maneuverable player's racquet with a high level of precision on full swings. This racquet comes with Head's Dynamic String Pattern which features tighter spacing between the center mains (for added control) and wider spacing toward the frame's edges for a more forgiving feel. From the baseline this racquet can not only rip heavy topspin, but it also has more pop and comfort than prior generations of the Radical. Factor in the exceptional directional control and you have a recipe for ambitious targeting. At net the Radical MP is fast enough for reaction volleys while also offering above average stability for its weight class. Finally, this sticks combination of accuracy and pop should enable aggressive servers to work the entire box with pace and spin. All in all, this is a great option for those who want a maneuverable player's racquet with great feel and controllable power. The attractive price is a very nice bonus.

Head Graphene XT Radical MP RacquetEnjoyed playing with racquet very much. So much so that I'm getting a second one! The feel of the weight in the handle felt very comfortable and had no issues after 3/4 hours of play. In comparison where my arm was tired after a set of using the Gravity Pro (2023 model)

Best value in racquetsYou will not find a better value for racquets than this older version of the Radical. It's the only racquet you can buy new that still has the more rectangular TK82 grips. My wife plays with a stock version, and she enjoys it. I added CAP grommets and a leather grip to mine, as I prefer heavier racquets, and turned it into quite the weapon. Great on serves and volleys. Solid on groundstrokes. Plays well with multi or poly strings. If you're unsure about playing with a 98 square inch racquet, try this one out.

Very comfortable racquetIt's a very comfortable racquet, pretty flexible with the good control. When I'm in a good shape, I feel like I can't do any mistakes with this racquet, while loading balls from the baseline with heavy topspin, and going forward to the net with full confidence. SW of 317-320 also helps a lot with control.

What a valueThis has become my favorite Radical. It’s stiff enough to not be a pool noodle, but flexible enough to run my natural gut hybrid with Luxilon 4G as a cross string. The new Radical is very good but it can feel like a board. For the money, I don’t think there is a better value to be had in the racquet world. I’m going to buy a couple more at some point, along with grommets.

Very NiceAfter adding some weight to boost up the swingweight and putting in some soft poly strings, this became my favorite racquet. Good all-around!

Excellent - don't let the price fool youThis racquet is a superb all-rounder in stock form, and also a good platform for adding weight. It is just stiff enough to provide power but is easily forgiving enough to avoid arm issues, allowing even sensitive arms to use a full bed of shaped poly (and it comes pre-strung with shaped poly). Its string bed is a moderately open 16x19, given you excellent control while still giving you good access to spin if you use a full bed of shaped poly. This is the old version of the Radical before the Radical became more stiff, and for those of us who prefer the less stiff version, it's a welcome reissue. It sits right in between the Wilson Blade 16x19 (compared to which, this racquet is more powerful, slightly less controlled) and the new Radical and Babolat Pure Strike (this racquet is less power, but much less stiff, and more controlled, than those). I added weight at 6 and 12 to bring it to "player" specs but if you are 4.0 or below, you should be fine with it in stock form. It's probably best suited to hard-serving all-court players. It's very close to the Head Instinct, but the Instinct being 100 square inches is better for a baseline player.

Super greatThis is an amazing affordable racquet. The ball does just what you want it to, and it's easy to get it to do it. I just wish it had a bit more power. Power is pretty good though, and great for spin and control and maneuverability.

Love this racquetGot back into tennis after a long layoff. Was a serious junior player (we're talking 80s here) and was surprised by the changes in the technology when I started up again last year. After trying out several racquets, I settled on this one because of the immaculate feel I get from it. At this price point, it's probably the best racket out there for players looking for good control and feel. I use a hybrid set-up on the strings: Solinco Hyper G crossed with a cheap synthetic strung at 50lbs.

High school tennis coachI really like this racquet. Great control but lots of power. Price is very good so serious players can buy several backups. It is especially solid on volleys and serves.

All around great racquetI'm not a professional and am fairly new to the sport but this racquet has an amazing amount of power without giving me pain in my elbows. It also has very vibrant colors which I find is a plus!

Comments: Great feeling racquet. Easy to maneuver around. A bit more hitting angle than the MicroGEL, but still a very good racquet for intermediate and advanced players. Also, the strings it comes with -though not the best- are pretty decent to fool around for a couple of soft trainings.

Comments: This is an amazing racquet at a ridiculously cheap price! In the last 2 years, I've used the Wilson Blade v7 16x19, Prince Textreme Tour 100 310, Yonex Vcore Pro 95 (2021), and Angell K7 Red. All great racquets, but all a bit too heavy for me, and the Angell was uncomfortable (even though I read a ton of reviews citing it's high comfort level). The Head XT Radical MP gives me control, comfort, maneuverability, and topspin, while still being reasonably stable and powerful for its weight. I'm playing so much better with a slightly lighter racquet. For reference, I'm a 3.5 (pushing 4.0), 34 year old in excellent shape. I played fine with heavier racquets, but found myself double faulting a lot late in 3rd sets, so I tried this on a whim and it's my #1 frame right now! Highly recommend!

Comments: I am a long time user of the Microgel Radical MP and decided to upgrade to this version as I was looking for a little more power and spin. This version of the Radical provided just that without giving up too much control. This racquet really shined when stringing with full polyester and adding lead at 3 and 9 o'clock. You will not find better performance at this price point.
