This uniquely comfortable modern player's racquet gets an even softer feel for 2025

Head adds another chapter to Gravity MP. Like the previous generation, this stick combines a 22mm beam with a 16x20 string pattern and uniquely low stiffness. The payoff is controllable power along with outstanding touch and feel. The Gravity MP 2025 also offers the benefit of a unique teardrop head shape, creating a larger, more responsive contact area near the tip, where conventionally shaped equivalents often feel hollow and unresponsive. At 11 ounces strung and boasting a sub-325 swingweight, this racquet is ideal for intermediate ball strikers, but it will also tempt the more advanced player who craves easy acceleration from the baseline and user-friendly handling at the net. The tip of the racquet features a partial CAP grommet system, improving both the response and sound of the racquet. For 2025, the Gravity MP gets a softer beam, resulting in an even more buttery feel than the previous generation. The main technology is Auxetic 2, a unique layup construction in the yoke and handle that optimizes feel and response. This model also has Graphene inside, strengthening the frame in key locations to provide a more powerful and stable hitting experience. Ultimately, with some nice tweaks to the feel, the Gravity MP continues to be a great option for those who want a fast and uniquely comfortable modern player's racquet.

Excellent Racket - A Must DemoThe Gravity MP 2025 is a must demo. I demoed the 2025 Gravity Tour and MP in the same hitting session over a few days and at least for me, the MP was the clear winner. While the Tour is a very good racquet, the MP felt plusher, had better ball pocketing, and provided a bit more power, while still maintaining good directional control. While I think the stock version of the MP is great option for beginners/intermediates, I was aiming for something lighter in weight with a lower swing weight than my current 2024 Speed Pro, which is 340 grams at 8 pts HL, and the new racquet would ideally have an RA between 58 and 62. So, I added 4 grams of lead tape to 9 and 3 (2 grams each side) and 4 grams at the butt cap. The MP landed at 332 grams at 6 pts HL strung with an over grip. I strung it as a hybrid with the 16g multi on the mains at 50 pounds and a 17g poly for the crosses at 47 pounds. After the customization, I couldn't be happier. The MP has great plow through and I'm able to take full swings without fear of hitting the back tarp. The string pattern is more open than the Speed's 18x20, which gave me more clearance over the net. I hit flat, but I felt that the MP provided some decent spin. Highlights include volleys and returns, which felt plush with great directional control, likely due to the large, sweet spot, which is bigger than the Tour. Lastly, I was concerned that the MP's RA of 57 would result in too much flex, which I am not a fan. However, the MP felt great, and the low RA only added to the sense of greater ball pocketing. I would highly recommend this racquet as it can accommodate many different skill levels, while still being a great platform racquet for customization for those 4.0+. I'm a solid 4.0.

Amazing racquetI am a 4.5 NTRP. Just coming off using a 98 2023 VCore which was my absolute favorite before trying this and the new Ezone. I was able to get my hands on the Ezone as well and was pleasantly surprised by it. It had a great feel at impact but I didn’t like the swing as much. I ordered this Gravity MP by mistake but I have to tell you, it was such a good mistake! After the initial change in feel between this and the Yonex racquets, I started to settle in. It took about 15 minutes. I strung it up with Re-String Zero at 50 pounds. I noticed that even though this was 295 grams unstrung, it felt like 305 grams. It swung pretty heavy. Oh. And it whistles through the air which is a unique fun sound! Which I like. I was able to swing full tilt and had plenty of room for error. Btw, the errors were far and few in between because I felt I couldn’t miss with this racquet. Full forehand and backhand swings at max power, were no issue for this racquet. I had to always be careful with my Yonex racquets so I played about 85% of my power as to not over hit so playing full tilt with this racquet was a fun and new experience for me. The control is so nice on this racquet that I feel I have an extra 3-5’ inside each border for my shots. Now serving! When driving my flat serve, the ball skids off the bounce making it very hard for my opponent to return, this was completely different than my VCORE 98. The Gravity MP has very good amount power and when serving or overhead shots, I can feel the racquet flexibility. It’s very noticeable on upright shots. I enjoy it . I don’t feel the flex on forehand or backhand shots, just overhead. The paint job is beautiful, the control is great, power is solid, it whistles through the air, totally VERY ARM friendly. I don’t have anything bad to say except if you are not used to this type of racquet there is an adjustment period but if you are willing to give it a shot, I promise you, you won’t regret it!
