This racquet combines impressive power and accuracy with a very generous sweetspot

Head adds another chapter to the Boom Pro! As the heaviest member of the Boom family, the Boom Pro 2024 packs more stability and mass-based power than the other models in the Boom family. It also has more control thanks to a surgical 98 square-inch head. Like the previous generation, this racquet features a unique head shape, which creates a more forgiving contact zone in the upper hoop along with a larger spin window. The result is a uniquely comfortable modern player's racquet with near effortless access to power and spin. For 2024, Head updates this racquet with Auxetic 2, a uniquely flexible material in the yoke and handle to optimize the response. Other technologies include a Morph Beam, which blends box and angular cross sections to combine classic control and feel with impressive stability and power. The Boom Pro also features Graphene 360+ (labeled Graphene Inside), which strengthens the frame in key locations to provide a more powerful and stable hitting experience. Ultimately, with incremental tweaks to the feel and response, the Boom Pro remains a great option for intermediate and advanced players in search of a comfortable modern player's racquet.

Boom! This racquet is aptly named. It has quite a bit of power for a 98. I'm using Diadem Solstice strings at 49 pounds. I've been hitting with this racquet for about 7 months. Because of its power and the tension in which I've strung this racquet, I do find that I have to add a bit of topspin to my shots, even as a baseline player. It's a very stable racquet that provides substantial plow-through. It kind of does it all which has been a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend adding this to your demo list to see if it suits your game.

My new favorite frameI used to play with Radical Pros for a lot of my college career and after that. I switched to a Yonex VCore 95 and I loved it at first, but found I was getting pushed around a little too easily with that frame. Even with added weight, it wasn't working as well for me anymore. I tried a lot of different racquets and was avoiding the Boom Pro at first because of the name mostly. The second it was in my hand I knew I had found what I was looking for. It is extremely stable when trying to play defense and the plow through was exceptional when finishing points. My slice was greatly improved and I found that it had a lot of feel while packing such a huge punch. I added a leather grip and some lead tape to the handle and now I am hitting deep, heavy topspin with ease. It feels like the perfect racquet for aggressive base-liners who aren't afraid to come forward, but also want stability and control. As long as the Boom Pro line is available, I will be using them. I'm a 4.5 rated player and I string my racquets with Solinco Hyper-G Soft 16 gauge at 58 pounds.

A Great, Underrated Racquet. This racquet is way better than I was expecting. If you can look past the stupid name, this thing is a legit racquet that feels much like a “Pro Stock” frame. It’s very solid, as it should for 310 gram frame, but doesn’t feel heavy to use like a Blade Pro does. It has a 64 RA, but feels almost Clash 98-like without the floppy/rubbery feeling of a Clash 98. It excels at serving and stable returning. My son is a college age player that serves well into the 100’s and I need a stable racquet on returns. I cannot think of a weakness about it other than the name, but you do have to use your body and commit to volleys, similar to a Blade V8 on volleys. It is the best serving racquet I’ve ever used, with the exception of the VCore 95 V7.

Great ConnectivityI really dig the connected feel and comfort of the Boom Pro (especially coming from a Pure Strike). There is also a good amount of power and spin from a relatively thin beam, which is really cool. The flared hoop provides easy spin on variety of serves. Fun stick to play with. (I'm a 4.5 player; my racquet journey this century has been Blade 16x19 —> Pure Strike 16x19 —> Boom Pro.)

Way exceeded expectationsThe Head Boom Pro is way better than I imagined. Was looking for a racquet with balance of control, some power, good launch angle and spin. It hit the marks on all of this with good comfort as well.

Best racquetI am really enjoying the Boom Pro racquet! I only ever play with my wife on a weekly basis but now that I have this racquet it is giving me the confidence to want to get lessons and play in leagues/tournaments. I feel very confident with this racquet compared to the beginner racquet (Head TiS6) I was using before. It's got much more weight to it which gives me great control without being too heavy. I would highly recommend to other intermediate players who may be looking for an upgrade.

Great RacquetI really enjoy playing with this, it gets labeled as a power racquet but there is plenty of control in the pro version unless you’re a player that can only tolerate Prestige levels of control. It actually feels a lot like the Speed Pro, but easier to swing with more power and spin. The comfort is really good, too. Would recommend anybody 3.5 level and above at least demoing it if in the market.
