Updated with a new mold and more open string pattern for 2024

Updated with a new mold, the 2024 CX 400 Tour offers easy targeting and great feel to intermediate and advanced players. Compared to the CX 200, this racquet features a thicker, more powerful beam  and it packs the kind of explosive acceleration and spin-friendly precision that aggressive players crave. For this update, Dunlop retools the beam, adding more of a box shape below the 10/2 axis to enhance stability, control and feel. Additional changes for 2024 include Powergrid Stringtech+, which features wider cross-string spacing to enhance spin and power. Dunlop also updates the stiffness profile, adding greater flexibility on the inner part of the frame for enhanced dwell time and pocketing, while also stiffening the racquet's face for added stability and power. To help reduce harsh impact vibrations, Dunlop adds a highly elastic material (named Vibroshield) to the midsection of both the hoop and shaft. This is complemented by Sonic Core with Infinergy a uniquely pliable material applied to the 3/9 axis of the head to boost comfort and power. Ultimately, with some incremental tweaks to the feel and response, the 400 Tour continues to be a great option for intermediate and advanced players looking for a speedy and spin-friendly modern player's racquet with above average comfort and feel.

CX400 tour... very pleasedI am 53 male; 3.5 - low 4.0 doubles player. The swing weight is excellent. It allows me to swing faster with not as much effort and noticeably less shoulder fatigue during two hours of court time than other racquets at the same 300 gram weight. Solid on volleys and ground strokes. I use Hyper-G Soft 18 gauge at 52 pounds. I have been really pleased with the 2024 version and upgrades.

BrilliantThis racquet truly excels in every area. I play 4.5 level singles and it supports my all court game. I play an old school style similar to pro Dan Evans. I hit a fairly flat ball and use a 1HBH, and approach the net pretty often. I use a full bed of poly at 53 pounds and it’s comfortable yet effective in match play. I had the previous model too and this one is much more controlled. Note my swingweight is 335 which is higher than factory spec. Strongly recommended.

CX 400 TourI'm a 57 year old serve-and-volleyer. I'd been playing with Solinco Blackout XTD, which is a cannon that I never fully learned to control. I demo'd a bunch of racquets from Ezone to Head Gravity, Speed, and Prestige and the CX 400 Tour, intrigued by a bunch of online reviews. I find the C4T to be a little bit of everything, not too much of anything. It's heavy enough to plow, but not hard to maneuver. I can slice effectively and volleys are easier to control than the Blackout. I can roll over groundstrokes, but its inclination is a flatter ball, and fewer launched balls than the Blackout. I've never played with a Dunlop frame before, but I'm very happy with the C4T so I bought two. Head Speed MP was a solid runner up.

Good tweenerI play a Wilson Blade 100 v7 and love it. Bought the Dunlop CX 400T as a second racquet. Added a total of 6.5 grams to the handle and 9 & 12, an overgrip and dampener, strung with poly/synthetic gut hybrid. The 400T is now 327 grams of weight, 325 mm balance, 326 swingweight. Perfect for my 4.0 game. Compared to the Blade, the 400T is more polarized and hits a bigger ball. The Blade is more consistent & controllable. The 400T is rectangular shaped with more weight in the head while the Blade is oval with its weight more evenly distributed. Both are equally comfortable. If I need to hit winners, I reach for the 400T. If I need to keep the ball between the lines, it's the Blade.

It's a keeperGroundstrokes: They feel crisp and very precise. I am coming from the Wilson Clash, which has a crazy launch angle and the ball did sometimes sail away, so I needed something with more control, which this racquet gives you, of course losing a little bit of power, but I am fine with that compromise. 4 stars out of 5. Serve: Very precise but lacks spin on the kick serve compared to the Clash. 4 stars out of 5. Net: So much more solid than the Clash. 5 stars out of 5. Slice: Nasty but you need good technique. 5 stars out of 5. Paintjob/Quality Control: I like the colors but that is of course subjective. Quality seems better than Wilson. I measured it unstrung at 304 pounds which is +4 pounds off. I strung it with Kirschbaum Super Smash 1.23 @ 48 pounds. Overall, there is no perfect racquet, but I feel very good with it and it is a keeper for me. Another plus is the price. I would give it 4.5 out of 5, but it is not possible on the website. Greetings from Ecuador.
