Introducing POLYTOUR REV! As a co-polyester monofilament, this string will give you the needed control to execute your most powerful strokes. Packed with 8 sides, POLYTOUR REV not only puts a tight grip on the ball, it also comes with a SIF (Silicone Oil Infusion), which helps the strings snapback powerfully during impact for extra ball rotation. This co-poly also has above average comfort for a poly-based string, making it an obvious choice for any player who wants a more arm-friendly control string.

Great control and feelFeels almost like a fully round poly, but with good grip. OK tension matinee, but playability makes up for it. Don't sleep on this poly!
First Yonex StringI've been playing various forms of Hyper-G for three plus years and decided to give PT Rev a try with my new Yonex Percept 100D. I love everything about the string and I have nothing negative to say about it, but I've only hit with it for about three hours total so far. If the string continues to perform as it has been then I'll be making the switch to PT Rev.

Love it and hate itPut this in my Percept 100 at 46 pounds. Not a soft string but not too firm either. As one mentioned, it’s best suited for advanced players who have fast swings and go all out. Spin can be heavy if incorporating the latter. Too muted and the ball can fly out of the park since it is very lively if not watching your racquet angle. This thing is a beast on serves. Flat and spin serves. Nice on slices and just okay on volleys. Would probably be better in a hybrid than a full bed honestly.
Crispy & spinny, but launchyPlayed only for an hour so far with this in an Ezone 98 at 49lbs. Nice and crisp feel so far and *very* live in this setup. A few bad missed from a high launch angle on some slight mishits during faster rallies, but really rewards a smooth fast stroke with some major bite — sharp angled shots off low short balls were really dipping hard over the net and kicking up off the court. Felt fantastic on serves. Feel and feedback were fine for me — could definitely feel the ball on the strings and part of the crispiness definitely came from solid bite, but didn’t feel a ton of ball pocketing but they might settle in a bit more. Think this string would be perfect for a player who likes playing poly at lower tensions, and either very dialed in on their powerful strokes, or has sound fundamentals and could benefit from a little more pop. Probably not much benefit for players under 4.0-4.5 because it was at its best when you really tell it what to do to the ball.
QualityHigher quality string and it is priced like it, so totally understandable. Stiff feel and good tension maintenance. Good for the heavy hitters.
One of my FavoritesWhen I ordered a Yonex VCORE 98 2023, I had TW string the orange REV @ 52 lbs. Yonex recommends this string for the VCORE and many of their other rackets so I thought I would give it a try. It was firm to start off with and settled nicely. The racket and strings were both new to me and they have grown on me. I like having this setup in my arsenal. One of my top five favorites. Felt similar to Hyper-G 1.25 but not as crisp. Plenty of spin.
Takes some getting used to.The spin generated off these strings is awkward but uniquely wonderful. Snap back spin is best experienced around the mid to high 40s for tension. Excellent touch allows for deadly drop shots especially at the recreational level. Higher than average durability for a poly makes these my strings of choice going for the foreseeable future.
Great topspin stringsI have 2 identical Wilson Burns, one with this Poly Rev and one that was set up with Luxilon Alu Power Rough, both to the same tension. This Yonex outperforms the Luxilon in every area I care about. The comfort was significantly higher and I felt more confident taking big baseline swings. I got rid of my Luxilon strings and converted my dad, brother, and brother in law to Yonex strings.
PT REV A Must Try!For those of you looking for a shaped poly with nice pocketing and consistency, look no further! I've been using this for sometime in my VCORE Pros and absolutely love it! Very consistent, fair enough grab on the ball and pockets well. It is also fairly easy on the arm with little to no vibration felt. After having tried several other brands, this sits near the top for me. Very consistent and maintains tension better than most. Do yourself a favor and give this a try. You won't regret it!
VCP 97H, PTRev 16L @ 48-50lbs.
Comfortable and good tension maintenanceHave about 18 hours and on this string and it's not bagged out yet. It is still snapping back into place and is even still comfortable. Not a spin monster like WC Ultra Cable or even Vokl Cyclones that I usually with but a good amount of spin, better feel and more comfortable than both of those. Considering a switch. Wish it wasn't so much more $$ though.
