Overview

Wilson combines a soft and powerful multifilament with a crisp and spin-friendly co-polyester. The result is a string that provides an exceptional blend of spin, comfort and controllable power. A great option for Spin Effect racquets.

The multifilament is a modified version of Wilson Sensation, and the co-poly is Wilson Revolve. Both strings have a low friction UHMW material coating to facilitate snapback, which increases ball rotation.

  • Gauge Co-poly: 17/1.25mm
  • Gauge Multifilament: 16/1.30mm
  • Length Co-poly: 20ft / 6.1m
  • Length Multifilament: 21ft / 6.7m
  • Color Co-poly: White
  • Color Multifilament: Natural

Comments: This is a great cost-effective hybrid ideal for high performance juniors looking to increase spin while preserving feel to avoid repetitive use injury with growing musculature. We're using it in a spin effect Wilson frame, so having a string optimized for the frame is a plus.

Comments: Tried it both ways with the multi in the mains and multi in the crosses. Multi in the mains caused good soft feel, adequate spin, and good control, and lively. With the multi in the crosses it felt deader, more spinnier, control was ok and it felt less soft on the arm. Both ways, the mains were at 59 lbs and crosses at 57 on a RF97. Power is low, spin is great, control is great. I like the multi in the mains because of my arm problems.

Comments: Terrible product. The multifilament cross string coating frayed before I even hit with these strings. There is almost no distinction between the 2 strings to tell them apart and the package does not mark the different strings or tell you which is main or cross.

Comments: I recently placed this hybrid in my 14x16 Prince ESP racquets -- even though Prince says that 15 gauge is required. All I can say is that my racquets have come alive with this set up (strung at 57 lbs). I get good spin, but the main benefit has been more touch and feel without any sacrifice in power. We'll see how long the strings last, but I'm a convert! I'm a solid 3.5 player, playing 3-4 times a week both singles and doubles.

Comments: Got a pack of this to test. Put the poly in the mains at 54 lbs and the multi in the crosses at 52 lbs in a RF97A racquet. I basically agree with the description -- solid spin creation; very good soft feel; acceptable power. The only potential negative is that it broke fairly quickly -- I believe I only got 10-12 hours which is not terrible but less than the 16 hours I usually get with a full bed of Tour Bite Soft. But for the price, a very nice hybrid.
