Overview
Note: This string was originally named Wilson NXT Tour. This is the same string. Wilson's premier multifilament synthetic gut NXT Power offers an even closer to gut-like feel than regular NXT. According to Wilson, it's the softest and most comfortable string in the NXT line. Designed with almost twice as many fibers as regular NXT, it offers a 15% increase in sweet spot size and 80% less vibration than traditional synthetic gut. With its superior power and comfort, Wilson gives this string its maximum playability rating. NXT Tour also offers impressive durability for a multifilament. It's an awesome choice for players of all levels and playing styles looking for near gut-like performance at half the cost.

Elbow-friendly stringI have been using this string exclusively for years. 18 gauge gives me the best feel and control. It does not give as much power as poly, but protects my elbow. It offers a lot of spin, though. The string breaks every month or two, but much cheaper than natural gut.

Love NXT Power 18I play between 1.5 to 3 hours per day. I used to be a 4.5, but due to age I am now a 4.0. Since I have my own stringer (a Babolat stringer), I am able to string my rackets at home. I break my strings about every 2 weeks, which is when I would prefer to get new strings anyway. I love the touch and feel of NXT Power 18. My one request would be for Wilson to consider selling the 18 on a reel, as they do with the 16 gauge.
Fairly good multifilamentThe 18 gauge plays better than the 17, but of course it doesn't last as long. Definitely not the same string as NXT Tour which Wilson renamed NXT Power a few years back. NXT Power isn't as soft nor does it have as much kick as NXT Tour had. - 4.0 USTA player.
Great strings, if you can afford itAs other reviewers mention, the feel and power from these strings are great. I am a 3.5 player with relatively flat strokes, and I still break the strings frequently enough. But, for the way it plays, I haven't found better strings. These used to come in a reel, but not anymore.

Comments: Excellent strings! I am all about feel and this string is the best feeling string I've ever tried and I've tried about 50 different polyesters, synthetic guts and multifilaments, Tecnifibre X-One Bi-Phase, NRG2. I prefer Wilson NXT Power 18 gauge and I will keep buying it.

Comments: My favorite string. I am a female in 40's, I play singles and doubles. The snapback feeling is so great, creates faster return. NXT are the best multifilament strings I think.

Comments: I would disagree strongly with the negative comments here. I'm a 4.0 with a short backswing using an old school frame (Dunlop 300g) and have absolutely no problem generating power with these strings. If anything, they are perhaps a bit too lively, but the trick is to string your racquet above 55 lbs. Then they become incredibly control oriented -- only comparable string I have used is Gamma Solace, which sadly doesn't come in 18 gauge.

Comments: This string has very low spin potential and power. The only good thing is for young or old players it softens the ball. Not recommended for intermediate to advanced players.

Comments: I have 2 of my Burn 100LS version 2.0 strung with this string. I am very happy with the results. One racquet is strung at 48 lbs for cooler temperatures at night. The power and control is very good. I have the other racquet strung at 51 lbs for normal day use. I think this string is quite good and there is no movement at either tension. I would recommend this string for older players and people with elbow issues. I still hit the ball pretty hard for an old guy and it's holding up very well.

Comments: I found this string to have very limited spin potential, poor ball pocketing, limited power and poor durability (heavily notched and looking ready to break after about three hitting sessions). Actually, I am happy that it is ready to break, since I did not care for it at all. Not recommended.

Comments: Great comfort, control and power! I play with topspin and this string provides the control I need along with outstanding comfort. Highly recommended!
