Much smoother than the silverGreat string! Took about an hour to break-in but after that it was pure delight! Noticeably more spin, touch and power than the silver version - seems strange, but true. Found this in the reel size so I grabbed it. Hope they continue to make this but I’m set for a while now.
Luxilon Alu Power 16gI've been using Solinco Hyper Gs for a few years and thought I'd give these strings a try. I noticed that the Alu Power felt a tad bit softer compared to Hyper G. The power felt pretty similar, but it took me about a week to break the Alu Power in, to really get a feel of how they work. Honestly I think they're good strings, but I wasn't getting the bite that I was looking for. I rated these a 4 out of 5 just because I didn't get the spin I was looking for, but it was definitely softer on the elbow, so I didn't have to put as much into my groundstrokes.

Comments: Definitely plays different in my Wilson Pro Staff than standard ALU Power - seems to add a bit more spin and control. I've been playing with ALU Power Soft for the last 1+ yrs, then bought the LE Power while traveling and unable to find the Soft. I ended up switching to the LE Power because I liked it so much better (those hitting with me also noted the difference in my ball, before I'd told them of the change). However, when I strung a racquet with the standard (gray-colored) Power, my ball began flying a bit over the next days, but I didn't think anything of it. I had racquets restrung at home with gray, and then another with black (the string arrived after I'd left the store). Was playing a match with the Power and ended up switching midway through to the LE Power - I felt and saw the difference in spin, control, and feel immediately. They're both great strings, but there is a definite difference.

Comments: I really enjoyed this string. I felt it plays softer than regular ALU. A dead feel similar to Volkl Cyclone Black without the shape. I usually string at 48 in my Wilson Blade 16x19. I would string this at 51 to compensate tension loss after stringing. The comfort is fantastic in my Wilson Blade v7.
