Overview

This ultra thin version of V-Torque Tour has great feel for a co-poly string. In addition to being one of the thinnest strings we sell, this co-poly has a twisted, six-sided profile. The result is a string with exceptional ball bite and massive spin potential. Although it has slightly less durability than the thicker gauges, this string's combination of comfort, spin and precision is very hard to beat. Ideal for players who like attacking the ball. Did we mention the spin potential?

Soft polyI have tried dozens of polyester strings and the Volkl V-Torque Tour 19 gauge has been the softest and felt like a multifilament but it broke after about 2 hours of play. I will try it again but will need to buy a thicker gauge.

Great string if you string your ownGreat feel and ball pocketing. I hit a flat eastern forehand, which has now seen some extra top. The only catch, it goes dead after about ten hours of playing.

Love these stringsAfter discovering this product over a year ago, I'm still marveling at its longevity and performance. My junior playing son and I both use this. I've tried a lot of strings and there has been so much improvement over the last five-ten years. This is by far the best of the 19 gauge strings that I've tried. It's so much better than playing with gut, in my opinion. I've tried everything from 42 to 50 lbs and keep changing to what I think is best.

Comments: I'm a 4.0 league 40 & over doubles player who plays in hot humid Puerto Rican weather. I have been using Volkl Cyclone 19 and Volkl Torque Tour 19 for more than a year now. I use them on Head Prestige (18x20) racquets. The tension that I use is 48-52 pounds for these strings. They both are great. If you want a more muted feel with more ball pocketing and topspin, go with the Torque Tour 19. It seems to hold tension well. If you use closed pattern racquets, you should try this string. They do not break easily and will add extra spin to your game. This thin gauge feels arm friendly too.

Comments: Can't understand why more people don't take advantage of today's technological advancements in string construction. Too many players are stuck in 1980, too scared of using any gauge thinner than 17. This 19 gauge offering from Volkl has excellent feel (due to the gauge) and pretty decent string and tension life. I will use string savers next time and measure difference in life and feel.

Comments: I am a 4.0 senior. I have tried this string twice and both times I felt that other than being soft on my arm, there was little to like. It felt very mushy. Little accuracy, but not much power either. I am cutting it out.

Comments: I strung this 19 gauge at 45 lbs in my Prince Textreme Tour 95. So far I really like it. It's soft and controllable with nice power. I swtched back and forth with my other racquet strung with 19 g Cyclone. I like the V-Torque better at the moment. Playing indoors in cooler temperatures I like this better. In the Florida heat, when I play there in the winter, Cyclone may be better. I'll have to wait and see.
