Overview

Synthetic Gut Armor is a great option for the player who wants exceptional all around playability along with great durability. This string is solid core synthetic gut wrapped in polyester filaments. The result is a comfortably crisp response with a nice balance between power and control. Great option for the player who wants to get a little more milage out of their synthetic gut.

Try this 17g for slightly more spin potential than the 16g version.

DifficultI have used this string over the past two years and liked it very much. But, something has changed drastically. The last order I purchased just six weeks ago is extremely stiff nearly impossible to string a racquet with. If you put a bend in it, you cannot re-straighten the bend, it's there forever. What happened guys?

Decent string for the priceEasy to string. Good value The string is much stiffer than the ratings. On a Wilson Blade 104 18x19 at 54 lbs, full bed, feels like a board.

comfortable string with decent snapbackString is very comfortable, but a bit muted and due to its slippery coating it has decent snapback (more so if you string the crosses 2-3 lbs less). I think it shines best when you string it in the lower tension range of the racquet. As a self stringer, for the price, can't complain at all.

Comments: Soft, comfortable in a full bed or in a co-poly hybrid. For me it is more durable than Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex. The "17g" is more a 1.20mm or thinner.

Comments: In comparison to my go-to string, Prince Original Synthetic Gut, I found the Tourna to have a softer response, similar power and control, less spin and equal amount of string movement. Overall, it provided a reasonable performance in all areas and decent tension maintenance but at a softer feel than I prefer. That said, I would select it over Prince Synth Gut Duraflex or Head PPS but not in preference to POSG.

Comments: I ordered this to compare to Prince Dura in a hybrid set up. I have now strung probably 10 racquets and everyone prefers the spin and feel of this compared to the Dura. It's a tad softer and I believe allows the mains better snap-back. Great string for the money, especially in a hybrid setup.
