Overview
Tourna Quasi Gut Armor is a variation on the original Quasi Gut, a very arm friendly string loaded with comfort and power. Like the original, this one is built with over a thousand pliable filaments. However, this one expands upon the original formula with the addition of two very durable co-polyester ribbons. The result is a comfortably firm response with very impressive control for a multifilament. Best suited to players who want a little more precision and durability from their multifilament.

Brings me backI always restring my Prince Tour 100 with Tourna Quasi Gut Armor. The touch and control this combination produces is the closest I have ever come to what I had felt on the clay courts with my wooden racquet back when I first learned to play 50 years ago.
StiffStrung at 57lbs in Yonex Vcore pro 97D. I was surprised with how stiff this felt, which isn't either a pro nor a con. It's just how it is. Spin potential is decent, and I enjoyed the control.

Comments: This is probably the most comfortable multifilament I've used. Others I have tried are Head Velocity, Prince Premier Control, Tecnifibre NRG2 and Multifeel. I have used it only as a hybrid with polyester strings (as a cross and as main), and it really softens the stringbed. It plays comfortable until it breaks. With polyester mains, it does start to notch and reduces the movement of the main strings a little. I have used it with Hyper-G, Hyper-G Soft, Wilson Revolve Spin, and Isospeed Cream, and found it plays well as a cross for Wilson Revolve Spin. I would consider it to be a more durable version of NRG2. If anyone enjoys the feel of NRG2, I would recommend trying this as an alternative. I am kind of surprised that there are not more reviews or comments as this is a pretty solid string and is significantly cheaper than high end multifilaments. It is fairly easy to string as well (don't clamp too hard as it is pretty soft). I would recommend it as a great str ing to soften the stringbed if someone using a polyester string is looking for a softer multifilament. Hybrid setups only last 3-4 weeks or so for me (4.5 player, Head Gravity Pro, which is an 18x20 pattern).

Comments: I found this string to have a good combination of feel, control, comfort, and spin. The standard Quasi-Gut plays softer, but has less access to spin. It has the most spin of any multi I've played so far, however, it shifts out of place too. I'm not a string breaker so can't comment on durability, but I now plan on using this as a cross string with a more expensive multi in the mains to lower cost and possibly add some RPMs to my shots.

Comments: If you like the dead, muted, low powered feeling co-polys, but want an extremely arm friendly version then this is the string to get. Although you dont get the same spin of a co-poly, the trade off is an extremely soft and comfortable multifilament string.

Comments: This stuff strings up like a poly, use the -10% in reguards to tension. It's very soft on the elbow, like they claim, even when you string to tight. It holds tension well too, wish mine would lose a few pounds.
