Overview
Introducing Prince Lightning Pro! This premium synthetic gut builds on the success of Lightning XX by adding a slightly more responsive central core. It also has a unique outer wrap that includes multifilament bundles for extra comfort. Like previous generations of Lightning, this string has Powerfoil Technology, which consists of thin PET (polyester) ribbons. According to our Tennis Warehouse University lab data, this is one of the softest synthetic gut strings at Tennis Warehouse, making it an obvious choice for any player who wants easy access to power coupled with arm-friendly comfort.
Try this 17 gauge version for slightly more spin but less durability than the 16 gauge version
- Gauge: 17/1.25mm
- Length: 40ft/12.2m
- Composition: Co-extruded multi-section core with a multifilament wrap and PET ribbons

PRINCE 17 gauge StringsHad new Babolat racquet strung with these strings that worked fine. Only issue is that I ordered black but the strings on the racquet are goldish.
Good feel, reasonably durableI play three to four days a week at the 70+ 3.5 level. I find the string to be easier on my joints than the heavier strings. I replace them every 4-5 months, usually when I break a string, I use three identical Head racquets all strung at 59 pounds, which I rotate during a set to give me a fresh grip.

Great synthetic gutComfortable and predictable, this is an all around great string. More durable than Prince original synthetic gut, which I also like, and works well in full bed or hybrid setups. I like to use it as a main or a cross. My preferred combo is to use it with a multifilament or, if I am feeling extravagant, natural gut. I'm a no-polyester guy for comfort reasons. I've been very happy with the feel of these strings; they are good until they break.

Prince Llightning Pro 17/1.25I have used the original Prince synthetic gut #16 gauge for a long time because it is a great balance of value, reliability, consistency, feel, etc. I decided to try to Lightning Pro 17 on a whim and find it to have more feel and grip, making it a more rewarding playing experience. I haven't broken a string yet so I can't comment on durability, but even if it is a bit less, the trade-off with how it feels is worth it. For a player who likes to keep it simple but not sacrifice the feel of a quality string, this is a good fit.

Perfect Balance!!Perfect balance of power and control!!! Makes adding spin to shots super easy! Has added a new option to my game. Hello backhand slice!!!
Prince Lightning ProLightning Pro 17 is my "go to" synthetic string that I recommend to most of my clientele. It's an excellent string for all player levels. From beginner to intermediate, it works well as a full-bed setup. From intermediate to advanced, it can be used in a hybrid setup, either as the mains or crosses. These strings provide a nice firm comfortable feel and tension maintenance. The spin potential ranks among the best in its class! Awesome string when you're starting to experiment with string types and brands. Put this on my HEAD RADICAL EDGE 175 with the HEAD vibration dampener attached to only the center 6 main strings and a full roll of HEAD XTREME SPORT wrap on top of the OEM wrap as a second layer. Strung at 33 lbs.
