Wasabi puts an extremely tight grip on the ball before snapping it out of the string bed with vicious RPMs

Boasting four ultra-sharp edges and a low-friction surface, Wasabi puts an extremely tight grip on the ball before snapping it out of the string bed with vicious RPMs. It's also one of the firmer and more control-oriented polys in Toroline's line-up, which means it will let you swing as big as you want when loading the ball with pace and spin.

Note: Toroline sets come pre-cut in 2 half sets, which means they cannot be strung as 1pc.

  • Gauge: 17/1.23
  • Length:  40ft/12.2m
  • Composition: Co-polyester Monofilament
  • Color: Neon Green, Neon Pink

Great on hybridGot these for mains and Head Hawk Touch for crosses. There are just perfect for the spin and the hybrid gets you wow control and power. I find these very durable for my game. I don't know how would perform on a full bed.

Mediocre stringsTested 3 strings from Toroline and they all have mushy, rubbery/plasticky feel to them. I can see recreational players liking this kind of string as it feels softer but the problem I had was that the strings were losing tension within the first few hours and had to cut it out next day. Not recommeded for high performance players.

Great StringsI've had the pink version of this string before it was on Tennis Warehouse and it was great. I strung it at 52 pounds and it played great. It's a pretty muted feel so it can help people who struggle with tennis elbow or want a more comfortable racquet and string combo. It has wonderful spin potential due to the slick surface and sharp shape. Also looks great on court which is a plus :)

Hyper-G Soft?I have the green version of this string. Very slick, spin-friendly and arm comfortable string. I would describe the feeling of the string as dampened, not much feedback when the ball hits the strings, which is bad for feel, but good for arm-comfort. The slickness of the string really help with string snapback which enhances spin potential. I can see this string being very popular with baseline centric players that like to hit spinny bombs.
