This ultra spin friendly co-poly will give you the tools to hit a heavy ball

Meticulously engineered with the help of former ATP player Steve Johnson, O-Toro combines effortless spin with above-average comfort for the breed. Boasting six sharp edges, this co-poly puts an extremely tight grip on the ball. It also has a low-friction surface, enabling it to snap back powerfully to amplify ball rotation.  In addition to being ideal for experienced players who swing big and require a high level of control, our TW playtesters also found plenty of pocketing, comfort, and power at lower tensions. Any way you slice it, this spin-monster brings the ball down hard. Game on!

  • Gauge: 17/1.23
  • Length: 330ft/100m

It's fineLook, I love TennCom and Tennis Spin, but all this "natural gut of poly" stuff is just marketing hype. I've used it as a full bed in my Aero 98 (50 pounds) for about 6 hours now. It starts off really stiff, there was about a 1 hour break-in period and afterwards it was a basic, good all-around poly, but nothing special. TK Tennis' review on YouTube was pretty much my experience. I typically use Lynx Tour or Confidential (both 1.25) in my PA98, and very much prefer those.

Very good—not amazingI think it’s very good! Just not for me. Huge fan of Toroline in general even before they got Karue and everyone else on board with their marketing. For me, there are so many great strings, but this one felt a too soft, gummy almost, even when I bumped up the tension on a second slow stringing. Maybe I was expecting a Hyper G response because of the green? I do think it might make a good cross in a poly/poly hybrid. With the slightly higher price and my personal preference on feel, I won’t be trying it again after two sets though. Potentially a great string for lots of folks and a must try from a smaller brand like this.

GreatSofter than the 18 gauge Yonex Poly Tour Pro, shoulder felt it quickly. Nice bite, too. Played them for 4 hours and really liked them, already send my second frame to string with these. Mixed green in mains and orange in cross, they look awesome.

Great stringI have almost exclusively switched to this string. I have used it in a variety of racquets. To name a few: Prince Twistpower Tour, Blade v9 16x19, Head Speed MP, Pure Aero 98, TF TFight 305 and the Aero Rafa. I’m a 3.5-4.0 player and play about 12-14 hours a week. String gives me good spin, feel, power (I strung in mid 40s), and control. I have to adjust tension depending on the racquet to get more control in some racquets. It holds tension pretty well.

All-around great stringWorks as advertised and has good durability and pretty good feeling poly. I would caution against stringing a full bed above 50-53 pounds. Not sure I would call it the natural gut of polys like some are saying lol but in all honesty one of the best strings I’ve used. Probably my third fave behind restring zero and sync respectively.

Good snapback but non-linear responseUsed one set on Wilson Blade 98 v9, 16x19. Not a bad string for tension maintenance and snapback, however, when flattening my groundstrokes, I found the response of the string to be non-linear, that is to say, once you reach the max elasticity of the string, it shoots out the ball erratically. Not recommended for players who rely on generating their own power.

Best stringAs a Solinco die hard since it first came to the US, it was hard for me to believe there is a better string for my game. The O-Toro is softer than the Hyper-G, and provides more spin than the Tour Bite. Would highly recommend this string to everyone.

Controllable comfortThis string has it all. Power, control, comfort, and spin. The strings gave me above average spin, but unbeatable control and comfort. These strings give me confidence to full swing knowing the ball will stay in and not break my arm.

Great color, even better string!Great balance of spin, power, control and comfort. Its high level of spin allows you to take full cuts at the ball without overhitting but also allows you to be creative with sharp angles. O-Toro retains its snapback throughout its lifespan despite notching (something you don’t see these days as most coatings/slick polymers wear off after the first one to two hours). It’s been a minute since a company has come out with string as impressive as O-Toro.

High Quality StringO-Toro is a high quality string. Offers plenty of spin, great feel and overall terrific play. I didn't find anything with the string that I didn't like. Thanks to TW for adding Toroline strings!

My new stringThe snapback, spin and elasticity from this string is next level. Takes a minute to adjust if you are switching from a dead or stiff co-poly. But once you lock in, the string is super responsive and allows you to rip without it flying.

Unreal snapback and great durabilityBest string I’ve ever used to date. My current go-to at the moment along with Restring Zero/Sync. I would definitely recommend if you hit a lot and like spin and good feel.

Great for a main string in a HybridI first played with this string when Toroline released it before coming to TW. In a full bed I found it a bit metallic and generally didn’t feel great, but lots of spin. Since then I have put it in my Radical Pro in a hybrid with Head Velocity MLT in the crosses and wow. It feels so much better. Pocketing, spin and comfort is all there. Great string! O-Toro at 45 pounds in the mains and Velocity MLT at 48 in the crosses.

Toroline with the dub, againA+++ string!! This is my new go-to set up in my Pure Aero 98. O-Toro provides amazing access to spin and power, but also pockets perfectly in my racquet. I'm able to swing out, hit a heavy ball and trust my precision. I've never experienced a string that I personally considered to excel in power, control, and spin as it seems that one was always lacking slightly vs the others. However, O-Toro kills it in all three categories. Just buy it, you won't regret it. Looking forward to additional color options in this one!

New favorite string!I’ve been a long-time customer of Toroline, placing my first order with them back in 2021. I’ve tried most of their string offerings and previously had Wasabi as my go-to main string to use in a poly/poly hybrid, since I first tried it back in 2021. However, Toroline knocked it out of the park with O-Toro! It’s replaced Wasabi as my go-to main, and I’m currently hybriding it with Caviar (18g) in the cross and love the ample spin and feel I get with that combo. I’ve also had consistently great communication with them throughout the years I’ve been a customer. Couldn’t be happier with their ever growing success!
