Solinco Outlast is a co-polyester string that offers a softer stringbed than traditional polyesters. We found the string to put a very tight grip on the ball, giving us the ability to load the ball with extra spin. Great on its own or as part of a hybrid, this string is perfect for the big all court player. Try this ultra thin 18 gauge version for maximum spin!

True to name lasts forever.I pair this 18 gauge in the crosses (minus four pounds) with gut in the mains. Gives me a good amount of spin at my level and does not seem to damage the gut in the mains. Maintains the tension for me for quite a while, gives spin and power and comfortable on my arm with this combination. All my racquets have this combination. Play doubles mostly, two to three times a week.

Lives up to its nameI got 10+ hours out of this 1.15mm gauge string, with minimal notching, before it lost too much tension and turned into a trampoline. Did not snap before then, surprisingly. For a thin gauge, I would say that’s great longevity. Outlast 18g snaps back nicely, and provides a controlled response with some nice “pop” and feel. Comfort is good as well. I like it enough that I purchased a reel. Would recommend to anyone looking for an all-around, comfortable poly at a good value. For reference, I am a 4.0 all-court player with moderate topspin on both wings and spend a lot of time up at net. Full bed strung at 48 pounds in Yonex Vcore Pro 97 (310) with lead added in the hoop.

Main stringCombo this in the mains with Babolat RPM Team 17 Black in the crosses and you get the most crispiness, control, feel, launch angle, duration, and spin. It's everything in one package.
Great cross for hybridsThis string is a great cross because it is of the most slippery (when used as a cross, allows good snapback) that also has good tension maintenance and doesn't go dead. As a cross, its playability and slipperiness will last until your main breaks, getting the most out of your main regardless of whether it's expensive gut or more budget-friendly options such as Prince Synthetic Gut Duramax or Gamma Synthetic Gut Wearguard (I've tried all these combos, they work great). As a full bed, it's meh, nothing special, like many others, but as a cross it really shines. Outlast is made for the rec player because its key feature is consistency over time--whereas most poly strings are great initially and decline, Outlast is perhaps not as spectacular in the first hour but it keeps on keeping on. A rare case of a truthfully-named product. Compare it to Head Hawk 18. Hawk is a bit more slippery, Outlast is a bit more comfortable and a bit more powerful. I can tell the difference blind but I'm not sure which I prefer, so I go back and forth. They are very close to each other.
