Overview
Introducing Hyper-G Round! Engineered with Solinco's proprietary chemical formula, this co-poly is designed to complement the explosive and spin-laden mechanics of the modern game. As with the standard Hyper-G, this round version is medium firm and offers impressive tension maintenance for a poly-based monofilament. According to Solinco, it is designed to increase court penetration, making it great for aggressive players who like driving the ball through the court. It also has a low-friction surface, which not only protects against frictional wear (think durability), but also increases snapback for more vicious ball rotation.

Love the roundI like the Round Hyper-G best of all the Hyper-Gs. I think the Round hits more consistently without the errant flight you get with structured strings. I like the feel as well, not too stiff, not too soft.
Feels GreatWas a Restring Zero player. But this string is just as good if not better. Holds tension great

Wrong tensionRequested 55 pounds but it came feeling like 45 pounds. String itself is good.

Stiff, uncomfortable, no feelI wanted to try this string based on its TW review, and decided to string in the low 40s for some power and comfort. TW sent it strung even lower in the mid 30s (and offered to restring for free, thank you!), but to my surprise even at such low tension the string played extremely stiff and dead, had no feel and was very uncomfortable. Felt like playing with a cardboard. I have played with both the regular and soft versions of Hyper-G, but this "round" version felt much worse.

Not a comfortable stringI found this string to be stiff, unresponsive, and lacking much bite on the ball for spin. I had this as the string on a brand new racquet and it honestly felt and sounded like it was strung ten pounds above what I asked. I had two other racquets with different 17 gauge strings at the same tension and the ping from the two other racquets was close in pitch while this one was vastly higher pitch. I felt I had to swing very hard to get any action out of the strings and that led to elbow pain. Maybe this would play well as a cross-string for something shaped on the mains.
