As with the standard Hyper-G, this round version is medium firm and offers impressive tension maintenance for a poly-based monofilament. According to Solinco, it is designed to increase court penetration, making it great for aggressive players who like driving the ball through the court. It also has a low-friction surface, which not only protects against frictional wear (think durability), but also increases snapback for more vicious ball rotation.

Amazing tension maintenance!!!4.0 Male plays 5ish hours per week. I've gotten well over 10 hours of play time on both of my racquets using the Standard Hyper-G in the mains and Hyper-G Round in the crosses and the tension maintenance and spin production is off the charts! All of that extra spin translates to lots of control without needing high tension and it plays even better as it breaks in IMO. I would give this combo 10 stars if I could!
