This ultra-thin version of Hyper-G offers MASSIVE spin and great feel

Introducing the thinnest version of Hyper-G! At 1.05mm, this is one of the thinnest strings we sell. Although it is not as durable as the thicker gauges of Hyper-G, this string has truly massive spin potential. It also has impressive comfort for a poly-based string. Developed for an ATP top 50 player, this medium firm string will allow big hitters to take massive cuts at the ball without having to worry about overhitting. Topspin players who like hitting balls that dive sharply and explode off the court should love this string. Try this ultra thin version of Hyper-G for maximum spin and feel.  Although not as durable as the thicker gauges, this string is great for dense string patterns, where the lower impact load will improve longevity.

  • Gauge: 20/1.05mm
  • Length: 656ft/200m
  • Composition: Co-polyester Monofilament
  • Color: Green

Solinco Hyper-G 20 Gauge: Almost Like GutLove this string. I'm old and like the feel of gut. This string has that feel with great spin. Since I string my Yonex Vcore 98+ at 45 pounds or less (started out at 55 pounds as teenager with a Wilson T2000), so breaking strings is not a problem though I did break a set in half the time I usually do.

Soft & spin-friendly 20 GaugeThe extra thin 20 gauge makes it nearly as soft as gut while still creating a lot of spin. I rarely break strings, but this broke on one of my racquets somewhat early, for me anyway. Still, it's my favorite string despite my hatred of the neon color.

Great string for slow swinging super seniorThis 20 gauge string measures. 103" in the racquet strung at 50 pounds and it radically increases serve spin for me compared to 17 gauge monofilament. Breakage is not an issue for me and my low power.

Soft StringI usually use a 20 gauge Tour Bite string in the mains but by accident ordered this string. It is a bit softer but I like the way it plays when I have Tour Bite 16L in the crosses. I prefer an open string pattern and this combo works pretty well. I would like it is this string was purple like the Tour Bite.

Great Cross String in a HybridThis string in this gauge was created for hybrids, and Hyper-G 20 hits the mark. Superb spin and feel as a cross string!

Plays Great, BUT does not lastString has great feel, but it is a very thin string. It only lasted about an hour of play time. Thus, I am going with the 18 gauge (soft) version which works for me!

Comments: There is a purpose to the 20 gauge and it's not to put it in the main strings. I have always been a big string breaker. Heavy top with pace, open strings patterns and high tension. I string my Clash 100 Pro with Hyper G 17 in the mains and Hyper G 20 gauge in the crosses. I seldom go 4 sets without breaking a string but it is never ever the 20 gauge in the crosses. Try it, I guarantee you'll never put a thicker gauge in the crosses again. Gain tremendous feel and spin.

Comments: Law of diminishing returns at this gauge. I tried in two of my Wilson Blade 98S racquets and got less than two hours out of both before it broke. Also tried 19 and 17 gauge. These had much better durability with the same performance. Go with 16 to 19 gauge and you'll be fine. 20 gauge is too thin.

Comments: I would not recommend this string, it's to thin. I string my own racquets. I am very careful when I string. It only lasted two games. I am going to try the 18 gauge next.

Comments: My go-to after finding RPM a tad to expensive. I especially love the 20 gauge, huge amount of feel and softness while providing great spin. For me even a great all around, best value you can find.

Comments: Solinco does it again! Superior durability compared to Tour Bite and superior feel compared to Volkl Cyclone. Feel of Hyper-G and Tour Bite is subjective, so try them both and I even sometimes use them as hybrid. Still a toss up between Tour Bite and Hyper-G, probably the 2 best strings on the market today.
