Better than crackI have never hit with a better string than Solinco Hyper-G man these strings are nice. I would trade my wife for a lifetime supply of these. These make me want to NOT throw my racquet across the tennis facility.

Great spin and controlI don't think I have ever used a string that puts more spin and shape on the ball. It offers really nice control if you take big cuts at the ball. There may be other strings out there that offer similar or maybe even better performance, but I am quite satisfied with Hyper-G and don't feel the need to waste time and money trying different options.

Hyper-G ReviewI have tried Hyper-G in 16L, 17, and 18 gauges in various racquets (e.g., Prince Tour 98, Head Speed MP 2022, Head Radical MP 2021) at tensions between 48-52 pounds and can absolutely recommend the strings. My favorite setup is a full bed of Hyper-G 16L at 48 pounds. For me, this setup it improves the feel and power without sacrificing control and playability of the setup holds up better than higher (thinner) gauges which lose tension faster.
16L Solinco Trade-OffA client was breaking strings a little too frequently. Went from 17 gauge to 16L. Small trade off of durability for spin.
Low-powered / low spinI know this string is supposed to be on the lower powered side of things but also offer solid spin potential. I have been playing with Dunlop Black Widow the last couple of years, but decided to try a few new strings out hoping for a slightly more controlled response. Dunlop Black Widow being a soft and powerful string that affords a high spin potential may have given me a bit of a bias that I compared this string against; however, isn’t the goal to compare strings to find the one that works best for your game?
In my experience, this string lacked any semblance of power and felt extremely dead, while also offering much less spin potential than Dunlop Black Widow. Control from this string was decent but nothing noteworthy and not enough to make up for its lack of power and spin. Even my hitting partners commented that my ground strokes had much less pop and bite on them than usual. The string simply felt dead and I was underwhelmed given all the positive reviews I had read.
Solinco Hyper G - 16LThe strings are dead and feel like cardboard. No feel at all and no ball feedback. I would not recommend them to anyone. Strung them in Babolat Pure Drive and Yonex DR 98. Don't waste your time. I cut them out of my racquet after two sets.
First Poly stringsGreat polyester strings at a great price. They look very nice and play just as good. They have great spin. I have mine strung around 50 lbs on a Pro Staff.
Great stringI'm a 4.0. Do my own stringing. I've tried many strings and I really enjoy the plush feel of these strings and my ability to take full swings and generate heavy topspin using Head Extreme MP and Wilson Pro Staff 97 racquets.
Hyper GDecent bite on the ball for a shaped string, a bit too powerful maybe for my taste. I thought it would get more spin than I got.

Grip and RipThese strings are the best on the market for the money. The way they grip the ball to stick to the string bed is quite amazing. Love me some Hyper-G String!
Softer Spin PolyNice spin poly string. A little softer than others like Tour Bite If you have a wester or semi western grip you can string at a lower tension to get more spin otherwise string a little higher to get control.

Great affordable optionI used Babolat RPM Blast for a number of years before switching to Hyper-G two years ago when looking for something more affordable (I break strings every few outings). Slightly less spin found with Hyper-G compared to RPM Blast, but the price has made the switch well worth it for me. I can't speak to arm friendliness as I've never had issues with Hyper G or any other string. Very playable and responsive string, would recommend.
