Introducing Dunlop's Explosive Red, a monofilament polyester string with an impressive combination of spin, control and durability. With it's firm construction, this string's low-power will give you the needed control to attack the ball with your biggest and most powerful strokes. As a result, you'll be able to load the ball with more pace and spin. In addition to its high tensile strength, this string has a slippery, heat treated surface, resulting in greater snapback (for spin) and less frictional wear (for durability). Recommended to intermediate and advanced players who value spin, control and durability.

Fun color and fun tennis!I'm teaching tennis and was looking for red and softer polyester strings to match my red and blue coaching racquet. Since the price for the Explosive Red is at the lower-mid range of poly strings I gave them a go and I am super happy! The color is spot-on and it feels fantastic in my Yonex Vcore 98+ (tension = 52 pounds). Despite the racquet being very light I still get very good ball control. I enjoy them so much, that I'm actually considering to try them out in one of my Pro Staff RFs which I use for my personal training/match play. Usually I'm using Luxilon ALU Power or 4G with them. But the Dunlop Explosive Red is sneaking in as an alternative. Let's see how it's holding up in the long run. I'm definitely overplaying my strings and despite constant racquet rotation the Luxilons break after a month or so hitting three to four times a week.

Nice! Versatile, arm-friendly, clean feel!I gave this string a try after picking up some Dunlop CX 200 racquets on clearance recently. After watching a few folks hit with it online, it looked like the control was there, but also enough power and return of energy to make this string viable for my strokes. I can generate my own power, and play a variety of shots. So, I need touch and feel, and then absolute control for harder aggressive putaways. This string, in a very quiet way, met all of those opportunities without much fuss. I strung it both ways in a CX 200 95 18x20 hybrid with synthetic gut. This in the mains, gut in the crosses (48/53) was clearly the better hit. The other racquet with the synthetic gut in the mains played like TRASH! So I hung out with the poly in the mains, and will restring the other soon. Will definitely try a multi in the crosses next time! I think a hybrid with Head Velocity MLT will be LOVELY. I never had a jaw dropping moment where I couldn't believe how great they were, but I also never had a moment where I was left wanting something I couldn't get out of them. Very pleased, and will buy again. And with black and red being my colors, this red string is one of the few true reds out there, and this was quite a fun hit. Absolutely buying again. Would love to see TW get this string in their database and see its specs on stiffness, tension maintenance, and energy return... It doesn't seem as stiff and predictable as confidential, my normal go-to, but also is not as erratic as Hyper-G can be for me.
